The hotel has 2 types of plans, one normal and one privilege, with the privilege you can enter the restaurants without reservation, if you don’t have it it’s a problem to get an appointment to enter. When buying they never showed me this and there if you are not privileged some workers do not serve you well, you can see the difference in the treatment, they are not very friendly. They have different daily activities and a group of guys who encourage people (they do know how to brighten up the night, they always have a smile and are very friendly) the food in general very tasty, the facilities are spacious and beautiful, for me the biggest problem was the kindness that some employees lack.

It’s a nice hotel, but outdated. Pool and beach were very clean, as were the rooms. Some employees driving the train would not stop to pick us up or help us out with our stroller. Food tasted good at the buffet. Hibachi was great. Steakhouse was bland. They ask about allergies, but don’t take any action to identify allergens in food items. We noticed right away that privilege guests were treated much better and had first priority. After a couple of days, we upgraded to privilege. Did we really feel privilege was worth it? Somewhat, but I still feel that maybe we were discriminated upon as we were the only individuals that were different than everyone else. I do wish there were more kids activities besides the daisy club(no parents allowed). Roundtrip airport shuttle included was a plus! The timeshare employees were very bothersome. Every single day they would attempt to get you listen to their 1 hour presentation and give you a gift and when you deny, they get mad. Resort credit that was given was useless and had limitations as to how much you could use for each service. Overall, it wasn’t terrible, but it wasn’t the best either. A solid 6/10.

We recently stayed at this property and unfortunately experienced several issues during our stay. When we were first given our room, it had a strong mold-like smell. I am allergic to mold, so I immediately contacted the hotel and requested a room change. A staff member came and sprayed the bathroom and the room, but unfortunately, the smell became even worse. I called the reception again and was told that someone would come to inspect the room and assist us with changing rooms. After waiting for more than an hour with no one coming, we went to the reception ourselves. Fortunately, I spoke with a very nice gentleman who listened to our concerns and spoke with the manager. He eventually arranged a different room for us and even upgraded our accommodation. I would like to sincerely thank him for his help. I believe his name was Luigi, although I apologize if I have spelled it incorrectly. His professionalism and willingness to help made a difficult situation much better. The housekeeping staff were also very kind, polite, and helpful, and we truly appreciated their service. Unfortunately, we were disappointed with the Mexican restaurant. The staff seemed to have an attitude, and the food was bland and lacked flavor. Another concern was the pool and beach closing times. We have traveled to many countries and have never experienced being asked to leave the ocean as early as 6:00 p.m. or the swimming pool at 7:00 p.m. Many of the guests we spoke with were also unhappy.

Our stay at Ocean Blue & Sand was okay overall. Keddy, one of the service team members, was amazing and definitely one of the highlights of our stay. The food was decent, although the options felt limited at times. That said, this is a smaller resort, so keep that in mind. My biggest issue was the room and the lack of transparency about the “Nature View” category. If you book this room, be aware that you may actually be looking at a construction site, not nature. Workers were able to look directly into our room and balcony, so there was very little privacy. Several areas were also closed due to construction. I wish this had been communicated before booking. The rooms are dated and need better upkeep. Our shower faucet had significant limescale and mildew, the bathroom glass was deteriorated, our balcony door handle was broken, and our fridge was never restocked. We also booked a king room but received two queens. Another thing to know is that standard all-inclusive room service is only included from 11 AM–11 PM. Outside those hours, there is an additional charge unless you are a Privilege member. Privilege members also have an exclusive restaurant and their own transportation carts. Overall, it felt like Privilege members received a noticeably different experience, while guests booking through Expedia were given far fewer perks. The resort was okay, but I would have appreciated much more transparency about the construction, room conditions, and differences in amenities.

Overall, Ocean Blue Resort is a very nice hotel, especially for young people. There is so much to do: a great atmosphere, good entertainment, delicious food, and a fun nightclub. You almost don’t even need to leave the resort to have a good time. The resort feels like a small city, with different areas and plenty of activities. I also really liked the transportation within the resort; it was very convenient and well organized. The food was absolutely delicious, and the entertainment was great. In terms of activities, atmosphere, and things to do, I really enjoyed my stay. Unfortunately, my first impression of the hotel was very bad because of the room I was given. There was a machine in the room for moisture control, and I immediately started having problems with it. I could barely breathe comfortably in the room. I had to go all the way back to the front desk to ask for another room. What bothered me the most was that it seemed like the hotel already knew there was a problem with this room. Thankfully, I was eventually given another room, but that kind of first impression stays with you. Another major downside was the staff and customer service. I did not find many of the staff members very friendly or attentive. You have to ask for almost everything. many local guests at the resort. This creates a different atmosphere compared with a resort that mainly has international tourists. This is not necessarily a negative thing, but it is something totally be aware.
