"Everything stood out! Resort staff were amazing from the restaurants to the pool staff, to the agent from Expedia! The second time we went to the Spa, one of the ladies was rude, so we left. But i refuse to let her character change the rating for everyone else. I would def come back "

"Excellence El Carmen - Dominican Republic is a wonderful choice for an all-inclusive luxury vacation. It is nicely designed and organized so that you can be either active day and night, or alternatively, nice and quiet. The rooms are large and have beautiful balconies to enjoy. The beach is clean and easy to walk for several km in either direction. The food in the lunch and dinner restaurants is good, not great. The breakfast buffet is extensive with a huge variety available for you to enjoy. The Club pools are nice and quiet, while the main pool and beach are very active. We give a special shoutout to Jerson, bartending at the Club Pool. A major shoutout also goes to our guest services host Marleny. Marleny looked after anything that we needed during our stay, and made the vacation that much more enjoyable. She is an invaluable resource. This was our first experience at an Excellence property, and we look forward to many more in the future!"

"The room was wonderful. We were upgraded to a suite and had so much space. The drinks were great and the food was better than I anticipated after reading some of the other reviews. Service was good too. I felt like everyone really put in the effort. My only ick was the timeshare guys set up by the coffee shop. They did take no, but I still had to explain myself, which is exhausting first thing in the morning when I just want coffee."

"The staff was very nice. The rooms were also very nice. Most of the food was very good. There were a lot of options of where to hang out. They did a great job of cleaning the beach every morning. We stayed in a swim out room facing the pool and it was great. Only real complaint is the pools are not heated and were quite cold."

"Our butler, Elvis, was the best! The food and entertainment were great. The Mirage has a beautiful pool and beach."
