Privacy invasion & Overcharged

I wanted to voice my concern as the hotel refused to accept the original price of my stay even when I showed them the reservation from hotels.com both from the application on my phone and from my email. I was DEMANDED rudely to pay 200 Mexican pesos more per night over the quoted price from hotels.com. I was also given a room with a broken door and lock which was a safety and security concern and they refused to change my room when requested. I was in this area for a late night music festival that would have me return to the hotel at 3 am or later, because of this I spent a lot of time sleeping, as I got ready to attend the 2nd night at my event I noticed my door was being opened as if someone was breaking in, NO PRIOR KNOCK ON THE DOOR WAS GIVEN EVEN AFTER NUMEROUS TIME OF SAYING, HOLA WITH NO RESPONSE. I was in fear for my safety and the belonging in my room while I was gone. I received NO reason and NO apology for her disrespectful actions of overcharging me and for making me feel unsafe. The price per night was supposed to be approx. 500 Mexican pesos per night but demanded I pay 200 pesos more per night refusing to honor the booking from hotels.com and the original price

Pésimo servicio

Reservamos con anticipación y acordamos un precio en la aplicación de hoteles.com, sorpresa que llegando después de un viaje de 6horas no teníamos reservación el dueño del hotel alegando que era temporada alta no podía respetarnos el precio de la página a menos de que le pagáramos una cantidad casi al doble. Ya era algo tarde y con la familia no hubo otra opción. De igual manera hoteles.com no nos dio ninguna solución.

If you are not from Mexico and you are a tourist, DO NOT STAY HERE! It is right next to a gentelmen’s club and many rooms are on ground level. Do the math. Two people knocked on my door within the first ten minutes. I did not feel safe whatsoever, felt like a target, and majorly felt like a fish out of water. I left within 10 minutes of arriving. The AC and TV worked, but the internet did not. The front desk had me pay before I saw the room and he charged me for the full five days via a slider on his cell phone. He had no idea of my reservation. He spoke no English, which is fine, but I had to use a random stranger as an interpreter to inform him that I had reserved a room. He looked at me like I was lost. The stranger told me to not leave anything in the room. There were suspicious stains on the bed and the room was at ground level. Any person randomly off the street can walk right up to your door with nothing to stop them. If you’re a tourist, that is bad news. The room was fairly clean in appearance and the owner/operator seemed nice, which is why this may be a perfectly decent place to stay if you are from Mexico and speak the language. If not, don’t even consider it. My cab driver talked to three other cab drivers and had never heard of this place. That was a sign. Don’t make my mistake; pay a little extra money and stay some place that will make you feel safe. Getting mugged or any number of things like that isn’t worth it.

The friendliness of the staf and the owner was very helpful and attent always asking if things were ok or willing to offer a different room if not comfortable with what you have It’s location is close to bus stop bank and local food stands at all times, day and night. The restaurant in front of the hotel offers authentic Mexican food been prepared by a lady that makes you feel like your pun mother is cooking for you and the prices are Very cheap. I stay there for a few days and most likely will be staying at this plane next time I go back to beautiful Bucerias
