"The apartment was very clean upon arrival, checkin was easy, (keys in a lock box). Lots to see and do everything within walking distance. The beach 5 min walk and a large grocery also 5 min away. If you have mobilty issues this place has 34 steps to walk up to get in. There was no housekeeping and no broom to sweep up all the fallen palapa grass from the roof of the apt which seems to fall daily."

"We adored Puerto Morellos. Fabulous beach and lots of great beach restaurants. Quiet town with lots of restaurants and live music. The property was cute and the staff very responsive and nice. Our only complaint was the sewer system which was emitting odour in our suite by the end of our stay. "

Breathless Riviera Cancun Resort & Spa - Adults Only - All Inclusive
10/10 Excellent
"February 2026
Breathless is breathtaking! Butlers Esteohania and Gamboa were beyond accommodating and always available with any questions we had. They made our honeymoon/anniversary so very special. ❤️ The pool staff at the Xhale Pool were amazing. Fun atmosphere with games, music, activities … no boredom! We were served amazing drinks by Edwin and Roger, and the Cabana guys were so great. Victor (thank you thank you we will miss you!) had our cabana bed always ready for us with a smile and Vicente made us feel welcome. All the guys were funny and friendly.
Above all, were were extremely thankful for the doctor in house, Sergio. Saved our trip! Can’t say enough.
We will absolutely return to this resort. It’s laid back when you want it to be, a pretty good party bar, and the foooood was incredible. Entertainment was unique each night. A fair value for the money. Extra points for a swim out river off the patio, room cleanliness, and just all around fun and hospitable environment. Loved the raccoons, iguanas, and birds just beautiful! ☀️🫶🏻"
Dreams Puerto Morelos Resort & Spa - All Inclusive
6/10 Okay
"Unfortunately we will not be going back to Dreams Puerto Morelos, we were really excited and had high expectations based on other reviews. Upon arrival the front desk ladies were not welcoming at all, they were rude from check in to check out, if you arrive earlier than 3 expect to be sent away until after 3 to be given your room and there is no bathroom that accommodates you to be able to change meanwhile you wait. Food at the buffet is mediocre, liquor is cheap tasting. The resort is pretty small so if you travel with younger kids a stroller is not necessary and good luck bringing it up and down the stairs as the elevators in the building are not working. The one good thing about this resort is the entertainment throughout the day targeted for families, this is more of a family oriented resort so everything closes at 11pm which is why I think you get room service.
We really wanted to love this place but many workers and incidents in their restaurants made us not want to go back. "
Royalton Riviera Cancun, An Autograph Collection All-Inclusive Resort & Casino
2/10 Terrible
"Terrible!!! Im 32 but there was a highschool spring break event there. they wouldn’t let anyone order more than one drink at a time so I couldn’t even get my wife and I a drink without her present aswell. Also wouldn’t serve shots until all the 18yr olds went to bed. Would’ve been very nice if that wasn’t the case "
Excellence Riviera Cancun - Adults Only All Inclusive
10/10 Excellent
"Delightful and relaxing experience. Very clean place everywhere you look. Great food and lots of options that aren’t crowded. Staff is warm and welcoming. The pools, especially the lazy river are large!"
"Check-in was very frustrating and took hours. There was no proper organization, and no one showed us the way to our room. After such a long wait, we were simply handed the keys without guidance — it felt chaotic and poorly managed.
The buffet situation was also unacceptable. There was only one buffet open, so we had to wait in long lines just to get in.
In addition, we constantly had to wait in line at the bars just to get drinks. It was clear that there was not enough staff to handle the number of guests. Service was very slow throughout the resort.
To make matters worse, two of our friends got food poisoning during our stay, which was very concerning and completely ruined their vacation.
Overall, this was a very disappointing experience, and unfortunately, I would not recommend staying at this hotel at all."
Dreams Riviera Cancun Resort & Spa - All Inclusive
2/10 Terrible
"Not a dream, an absolute NIGHTMARE! Calling this is a 5 star resort is an absurd lie. All photos are digitally enhanced. 100% FALSE ADVERTISING. The bathrooms have wall-mounted beer bottle openers. Need I say more?
This place is absolute trash. I CRIED when we checked in. The room smelled of urine (staff didn’t help), walls are paper thin (you can literally hear a person clearing their throat), everything is dirty, old, food is atrocious! Nothing but WonderBread and composite-ham meat, even in the “VIP” lounge. Food is a cruel joke, seemingly designed to be so unappealing that no one dares go for seconds.
They pack people in this compound like cheap sardines and there’s hardly anywhere to even stand in the pool areas. Absurdly loud music blasts day and night. Mosquitos everywhere!! My 5 month old was nearly eaten alive INSIDE THE ROOM! All windows were closed! They do not spray the grounds!
We booked this place last-minute as all other nearby options were adults-only. Never staying at this type of place again. The “all-inclusive” concept draws the worst kind of people… everyone behaved like wild animals and seemed to suffer from an extreme scarcity mentality. Rude, disrespectful, disgusting.
