I stayed just one night at Cabinas upon arriving to the Osa peninsula and it was the perfect landing place to being my trip! The staff was so kind and helpful and it was great to be able to get out on the water and Kayak. The location is walking distance to town for cafes, grocery and restaurants. The price is affordable and the room was very clean and cosy! I would definitely stay again if I travel there!

John and Annie don't have a no for an answer, rooms are small but comfortable, and clean, a little outdated, good wi fi, no tv, ac is a diamond in the area, no restaurant or breakfast but evermore l everything is walkable, ride from San Jose is 6 hours, going towards the Corcovado park or Carate beach can take 2 hours more in an 4x4 car. You can take a plane from San Jose $140 and get there in 25 minutes. There is not Ev charger in the area, somehow John manage to get me electricity to use my own household charger. Very nice value for your money.

Puerto Jiménez stay

Puerto Jiménez is a nice clean little Pueblo. There is a cute cafe called Monka up the street that we would recommend. Several seafood restaurants and we ate at Delfines which was excellent- so fresh! The hotel is situated in a nice secluded area right on the the waterfront. We saw several kayaks and people swimming in the bay. The ambiance was nice with the boats, the waves, and the sunset & sunrise. The AC in the room was excellent and made the heat tolerable. Be prepared for the heat! Our feedback has more to do with the pricing. It was a little bit more pricey and the hotel charged a 7% fee for cc use I totally understand the fee however if it was posted in the posting u did not see it. Also, the price for the room was higher than others in the area and while a nicer place, could be lower.

The front desk staff is so well organized and helpful! The location is perfect, the dolphin boat tour off the dock is a must-do, and everything you'd want to see (shopping, restaurants, beaches) is within walking or biking distance.

We arrived at Cabinas Jimenez early and our room was not ready. The owner, John, happened to be at the front desk. Instead of making us wait, he upgraded our room, which was clean and ready to go. Gabby, who worked the front desk, was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and personable. Perfect place to de-stress and de-compress.

Our room had a beautiful view of the gulf. It had an outdoor kitchen that we enjoyed immensely. The air-conditioning and hot water worked well. We enjoyed the pool during the hot part of the day. And we took advantage of the free kayaks and bicycles at the hotel. John, the owner is a gracious host and his staff are very friendly and helpful. John took us out on a dolphin watching tour that included snorkelling a coral reef. It was absolutely a perfect day! I would highly recommend the stay at cabanas Jimenez.

Overall our stay was great. The owner John and his team are very nice people and seem to genuinely care about their guests. They were very responsive to our emails and calls prior to our arrival. The property is right on the water and the free kayaks were a great bonus. We had an outdoor kitchen area that was very convenient and helpful. You are a short walk from the bus stop, grocery stores, restaurants and the main city center, where our tour to Corcovado National Park started. The air conditioning in the room was much appreciated. This place is a good value for your money.

We enjoyed our stay at Cabinas Jiménez. The room we booked is no longer available, so the owner kindly resettled us into a different room with the panoramic view of the Golfo Dulce that we were looking forward to. In addition to enjoying the beautiful view, we used the supplied kayaks to explore the mangroves and a deserted beach several times. We also used the supplied bicycles to explore the town of Puerto Jiménez and surrounding area. Cabinas Jiménez is in a great location, with a lovely beach and many restaurants and sodas within walking distance. Our room was clean, comfortable, and had a well-stocked mini-kitchen area. Staff were pleasant and helpful. We recommend staying at Cabinas Jiménez for your stay in Puerto Jiménez.

Expedia messed up my reservation - they change it from 4 people to 2 people and the description of the room was incorrect. (This is not the first time Expedia has messed up my reservation for a hotel room in Costa Rica). John and Annie did a wonderful job correcting Expedia's mistake and making sure we had comparable accomodations.
