"Getting to the island involved catching the dedicated boat anchored offshore. Prepare to get wet! The journey was over an hour but with great views of Koh Ta Kiev island and others. We were welcomed by volunteers and Giovanni gave us a brief on arrival. We were shown to our accommodation which was just off the beach. "Effet wahou quand on découvre les lieux. À part ceci, le wifi ne marche pas et nous redirige vers un portail sur lequel on ne peut pas se connecter. Le lit de la 1ere chambre était cassé. Les poubelles des précédents invités n’étaient pas vidés et le bidon d’eau était vide à notre arrivé. Prestation pas à la hauteur de l’attente pour le tarif. "I really appreciated how eco friendly this hotel was. I liked that they had signs that asked guests to use their towels more than once and that they offered filtered water in glass bottles vs. plastic. I also appreciated that they didn’t take up counter space with any unnecessary amenities like little boxes of shower caps or boxes of toothbrushes. There was a note to let guests know they’re available at the front desk, if needed. I always bring my own stuff and I’ve heard that at some hotels, once it’s been put out for a guest, used and unused amenities get tossed to remain hygienic. Lots of hotels in Los Angeles don’t even think this far ahead! My family and I really enjoyed the breakfast and lunch options. My cousin got the eggs benedict everyday that we were there and she never got sick of it. I ordered the katiew one day and the congee the next. It felt like a lighter version of the comfort food I grew up with and I loved that. Also, they have kombucha! I haven’t found a single place in Cambodia that offers kombucha. I’ve been really on top of my pre and probiotics because I’ve been scared of digestion issues during my trip, so this was a game changer! The spa was equally as wonderful as everything else! The staff were super friendly. Booking my appointments was so easy and if you speak Khmer, the masseuses are so fun to talk to. I got an aromatherapy massage, a body scrub and foot massage and felt SO clean after. I can’t wait to come back during my next trip!"

After staying in four different hotels and resorts, over our 2 week trip, this one was clearly the most comfortable, largest open room, and clean and brand new furnishing inside… It was just a really nice day and the breakfast was the best of all places we had stayed."

"Koh Russey Resort was a highlight of my stay in Cambodia. From the moment I was picked up at the mainland lounge to arriving by private boat at the resort’s private jetty, the service felt seamless and very special. The island itself has a beautiful rustic charm and I loved how natural and low key everything feels. It’s the perfect place to slow down, breathe out, and reset away from the hustle and bustle. The villas are spacious and thoughtfully designed, blending nicely into the landscape. This was the ideal way to finish a whirlwind two weeks travelling through Cambodia and I would absolutely return. Perfect for anyone looking for a peaceful island escape rather than a busy beach destination."
