Our third stay @ this hotel. The first was very good, the second so-so (at check out, the receptionist asked me to pay for the room, because the hotel didn’t receive the payment from Expedia), making us lose 15’). This time we were first offered a room next to the hotel, with a door which could not be locked. When we asked for another room, we were told the hotel was fully booked, which wasn’t the case. To have a shower, I had to wait a few minutes for the warm water. The internet connection was very slow. This is not a 4* hotel.

My review is based on the fact that the elevator broke on the way to our room on the third floor. We had to drag our suitcases up stairs and down to check out. On the day we were leaving, the reception staff person helped us get our suitcases out of the hotel to the car. Although there is parking,secured as well, you had to go out on the street and up a long flight of stairs to get to reception. There was no assistance. We are 70 and I have a knee injury, so all of this was a challenge. My other complaint is smoking—it is a non smoking facility but you can smoke on your balcony. We shared a balcony with a smoker which means we could not open our window. There was a table and chairs by the entry door to the hotel where everyone was smoking. It absolutely reeked. On the good side, you could exit the hotel right out to the main pedestrian zone. We stayed at this hotel 5 years ago and liked it. In my opinion, this is not a 4 star hotel any longer. If you go there and have dietary restrictions, it does not work to let them know ahead of time. Tell them at reception when you get there. Breakfast has good selection generally.

I stayed at Hotel Carpe Diem for nine nights. The staff were always friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and quiet, the breakfast options were good, and it is a short walk to all the attractions in the old town. Highly recommend.

Hotel is ok. Terrible view. Food in the restaurant was worse we had this whole trip. Got GT and aperol spritz. Both flat no bubbles. Hotel has a cigar and rum bar attached to it. Absolute GEM!!! The waiter was very knowledgeable. Did a custom rum tasting for us. Would definitely come back to this bar.

One of the worst hotels that I’ve stayed in.

Not the best of experiences. The receptionist was very pleasant but after that it was very disappointing. We were taken to a room that was not in the main part of the hotel. It smelt of a mixture of damp and a strange air freshener. The bed linen was very old and had holes in it although the bed was reasonably comfortable. Thee was a bizarre kitchen / bar area. There was a noisy fridge with wires dangled around. The attached photo’s give an idea of the quality of the accommodation.

Schöne Zeit in Presov im gemütlichen Hotel

Sehr schönes Hotel direkt im Zentrum und schön gelegen. Mit Parkplatz. Sehr nettes Personal! :-) Auch das Frühstück war gut. Das Hotel und Zimmer schön eingerichtet und dekoriert. Einfach ein schönes Hotel mit netter Bar.

Hotel in nice historical building, nice decor. We have booked a suite, which was absolutely huge, with comfortable bed, and leather sofa. Bathroom with corner bath and shower huge too. Oven room

Not bad if you go there in the winter time in summer is like had a room in a oven. Breakfast was terrible if considering is a external bar restaurant not a lot of choice, and some morning is not avaiable even the coffee, simple ridiculous.
