"The outside was a lot more old looking than the pictures lead you to believe, but the rooms themselves were redone beautifully. The lobby area was clean, but the air conditioner was filthy and in fact, my husband who's allergic to mold had a terrible time by the second day, trouble breathing, lots of nausea (without eating anything). On Hotels.com it said "includes breakfast". We weren't the only ones expecting "breakfast". What we got was a "grab n go": a brown paper bag with 2 granola bars, gummy snacks, an apple and an orange. No hot breakfast, tons of sugar and low on protein. The front desk person was super nice, but it was a little off-putting that she wore the same shirt, cow print pajamas and no shoes Fri. when we checked in, Saturday in the lobby, and still on Sunday when we checked out. Because my husband was sick we didn't check out the pool or sitting area featured in the hotel's photos. A quick drive by them seemed like they were nice. Rooms are beautiful inside, but outside felt cheap. Not a bad place, just not as nice on the outside as the photos lead you to believe."
"Upon arrival our check-in was quick and easy. The desk clerk was very pleasant. Our room was clean and spacious. We had some difficulty adjusting the room temperature and the last two nights of our stay was very warm. The complimentary breakfast was excellent and had a good variety of foods. The cleaning staff was very helpful when we requested additional amenities like coffee and Kleenex. All in all it was a pleasant experience."
"Honestly I didn’t think that the hotel rooms were going to be as comfortable and clean as they were. Front desk person was really nice and helpful on my way to check in and also the next day person for check out was as nice .
I really enjoyed my stay there.
I Will definitely comeback."
"The hotel was unique. It was a historical hotel it was decorated with very nice antiques. The bed and pillows were great. The room was very clean and the staff were very helpful and friendly. They had entertainment along with happy hour food and drinks. It was close to everything within walking distance. I would stay there again."
"This place is amazing! Especially for the price. Covered parking, excellent laundry facilities, heated pool, nice hot tub, towels on lounge chairs. Lemon infused water, delicious cookies, balcony in room with nice view. Wonderful breakfast. Very nice and helpful staff. Lobby was very nice also. Rooms large and clean. Would definitely stay here again."
"Great historical hotel. Rooms are nice and the beds are comfortable. Staff was great. Easy walking to shops, restaurants, bars, etc., and it's right across the street from the park. Highly recommend it!"
