"Hotel itself was great. Room was clean. Location cant be beat. Staff were very friendly. The only reason i rated it less than perfect had NOTHING to do with the hotel. The town (and many others in the area such as Porto Do Son) need to figure year-round activities to encourage ongoing tourism. Teresa, the owner is so warm and gracious, even though we had a language barrier she always made us feel welcomed. The breakfast was wonderful and the wine she gave us was delicious!! "Overall, a good experience. Comfortable and clean room and good service. Only issue was the sound proofing of windows; we were directly above the bar/restaurant on ground floor and could hear the boisterous wedding party below. "

"Both bedrooms smelled very bad because of the bathroom pipes. We felt we slept in a sewer. Terrible night sleep because windows had to be opened and there were a lot of mosquitoes coming in the room. We woke up with multiple mosquito bites. Also, when booking it did not state an additional charge for a late check, but we were told that there would be a late check charge after 9pm. "
