"We booked St Leonard’s for an overnight stay as we were attending a wedding locally. Our initial communication was great with the host allowing us an early admission in order to get to the wedding on time and offered to run us down to the venue. As it turned out when we arrived there was no parking available so we arranged we would take the car to the venue and our gracious host would run us down in the morning to pick it up. We were shown around the room and the facilities within which included a small fridge with milk and chilled water plus tea and coffee facilities. The room was cosy with a comfortable bed which we both later had a great sleep in and also noted ear plugs available if the traffic noise was going to be a concern( not for us). The en suite is also compact but plenty of room again for us with toiletries ( shampoo and shower gel) supplied with plush large towels. The bedroom was also very nicely decorated. At breakfast there was a selection of cereal, fresh fruit yogurt and home made bread and a cooked breakfast available which was all well made. We honestly couldn’t have asked for more and we would definitely come here again."

"The Kames hotel is in fabulous location overlooking Bute and a great base for exploring. We spent a week here and still so much to see. The hotel is lovely blend of old and modern - rooms were spotlessly clean, comfortable and well furnished. We are each night in the restaurant and enjoyed great variety of delicious meals . The owner and staff are warm, welcoming and friendly. Our dog was made welcome too! "
