"We checked in very late, and I was impressed that there was still a desk attendant there! They made sure that we knew the best place to park, the wifi password, and where are room was. There was a faint smell in our room that I suspect was from our last guests, and the main sink drained veeeeeeery slowly (almost not at all), but everything else was very comfortable. "We decided to stay on Cormorant Island while doing a loop trip from Kamloops around the Discovery Heritage trail to Prince Rupert - ferry to p Port Hardy - then down Vancouver Island and back home through Vancouver. Alert Bay is unique with a rich cultural history. We did a hike - the tall tree hike and it was short but beautiful...as well as a beach walk on rhe north side of the island. The Nimpkish Inn was a wonderful place to stay. It is an older place but has charm! Very clean with friendly owners.....we would definitely recommend."
