Great property - with nice views over the pool. A couple of minor things - 3 flights of stairs up which wasn’t overly clear on the description and meant we left pram downstairs near the pool overnight, had to arrange a cot through a different company and pay $100, and the backpackers is not far and a bit noisy on weekends. The spa is also not heated. Parking was great! And the pool area is fab - lots of room and under cover and sunny spots. Great location to walk to all the main areas in town. Thanks for a nice stay

Dissappointing

Good location, downside is nightclub noise into the night. Good facilities but could do with a decent spring clean. If you don’t book direct with The resort don’t expect any level of service. First place in 4 week trip to Oz to receive such a poor response to problems.

Nice hotel, good facilities.

Nice hotel with good facilities. Perfect location to be able to walk to the Main Street and all the shops and restaurants. Easy walk to the marina (where all reef/boating trips leave from) so no need for shuttles. Undercover parking for hire cars if you have one and easy to drive to other tourist attractions. Only recommendation would be to supply a box of tissues and umbrellas for the duration of your stay. During our stay it rained quite a bit and to have an umbrella to use if needed would’ve been nice

Very disappointing

Unfortunately we had a privately owned apartment (47B) of which Hibicus staff have no control over, thus cleanliness was of a poor standard , floors in particular had not been cleaned thoroughly and I am not convinced that it was clean bedding as on retiring to bed on the first night there was a pubic hair on the bottom sheet!! As it is a private rental essential toiletries/toilet paper and items such as tea and coffee were not replenished and i was told in no uncertain terms to " buy my own once the basics were used". Hibiscus staff were kind enough to help us out with the above even though it wasn't their responsibility, so to them, Thank You.

Privately Owned Apartment - Not Run By Main Hotel

When my husband and I went to check into our apartment, we were advised that Seascape Holidays had contact me via email with all of the check in details and that this apartment was run separately from the actual Hibiscus Resort and Spa. The lady on reception stated in no uncertain terms that 'we are not responsible for any maintenance in the apartment'. That raised alarm bells. We proceeded up to the room and found that the room hadn't been cleaned very well - there was a layer of dust on the slats on the bathroom door. Plus there was no towel rail and this was shoved in the cupboard and as soon as my husband went to pull down the blind so that the neighbours couldn't see straight in - the blind fell to the floor and wouldn't roll back up. There was also an old rusty clothes horse out not the balcony that clearly was rubbish but wasn't thrown away. Ended up calling the office of Seascape Holidays, telling of our situation to the owner who kindly offered an alternative but we chose to find alternative accommodation.

Close to town

We enjoyed our stay here. The staff, Sharon and Scott and Jenny who runs it can't do enough for you. They recommended some great restaurants and trips to do. Our room was spacious and clean. The resort has 2 pools and a spa which is always kept clean. We never heard any noise from other rooms when we were in our room which is a bonus when you are on holidays. All I can say is we loved our stay.

Tropical feel and walking distance to everything!

We love Port Douglas and have stayed at this resort 3 times. The tropical feel, two pools and location makes it the best place to stay. We will stay again - hopefully in 2016!

Close to everything

Walk to the port, to take a trip out to the reef. Walk to 4 mile beach, and the surf club. Walk to the main street for a café. This apartment is only a few minutes walk from everything.

Great location, between, beach, town and wharf

So much to do, swimming, bike riding ,snorkelling , scuba diving , fishing, walking, restaurants and nice place to sit and have a drink listen to live music. Weather great 32 c even when it rained it was nice, water at the beach 28 c . Swam in the nets everyday.
