"Highly recommend this place! Rooms are huge, bathrooms, kitchen area, laundry room, pool area and the overall general area are clean, and are well maintained. The bed is big and comfortable. Very short walk to a perfect sunrise on 4 Mile Beach. What really made this place stand out for me were the 2 employees I had many conversations with. Amazing people who made my trip even better that it already was and made me feel like I was welcome/at home. Will definitely be back and recommend you giving this place a stay!"

"Had a wonderful 10 night stay at Shantara. We loved being so close to Macrossan st and the beach, while the pool was an amazing end to each day. The Hotel was peaceful, beautiful and quiet. As is normal for Far North Queensland, there is not everyday cleaning service but we don’t use that anywhere anyway. Plenty of parking, but if you didn’t bring a car everything is walking distance with shuttle bus options for longer journeys. The only black mark of the stay were our neighbours on the pool deck room who were obviously upset at having a queer couple nearby, so disappointing in 2026 but not the Hotels fault at all."

"Can park under building but parked out in street plenty of room. Safe to walk around at night. Close to great food n drinks n music entertainment. Room spacious and everything you could want. Toaster, plates, knives, forks, jug. Big spa bath n day bed on verandah overlooking beautiful pool. Great if u don't have trouble with stairs as no lifts. Even found an ice machine n pool views as you walk through foyer. Will definitely be back."
