"The house in Girod was exactly what I was hoping it would be. Our family stayed in the Rosalie suite and it showed even better in person! I couldn’t believe how spacious it was and the owners took great care to maximize every inch of living space. There were so many drawers and storage areas for clothing etc…, the beds and bedding were very comfortable and the space was incredibly clean and inviting. And again, the suite is surprisingly spacious. The owners had coffee pods and creamers at the ready which was very helpful. This particular part of Mandeville is quaint and walkable to all restaurants and the waterfront. We ate delicious food, rode bikes( bicycle rental is steps away) and enjoyed having little to do for the long Easter weekend. We highly recommend the House on Girod to anyone visiting Mandeville! "

"The front desk staff and bar staff was extremely rude and unhelpful. There was little to no eye contact and front desk lady was on her phone while checking me (us) in. When I asked about the fire pit on the patio to be turned on, I was told it was not the season for it however, another couple was sitting by a fire on the other side of the courtyard. I feel we were discriminated against due to being a same-sex couple. The bar server was asked about the brands of tequila and walked away while answering as she was also having a conversation with a couple across the bar. We were on the second floor and there were kids and drunk adults RUNNING around screaming and knocking on doors all night long. When front desk was called initially no one answered then I was told "thank you for calling down." NOTHING was done about the noise or disturbance. "

"Elevator sounds like it's about to give out. No ice machine could be found on 3rd floor, only coke vending machine. Bed skirt was very stained and looked to have mildew on it. Room was clean and so were most common areas. Bathroom was spotless. Hotel staff were very friendly. There were signs of crime in the area nearby but no issues on the property during our stay. It was quiet in the room and AC unit worked good."
