"The room was spacious and clean. The ocean view from the balcony was great. Espresso machine a big plus. Bed was a little too hard. Poor design on the bathroom sink - always overflowing. Hotel Lobby was tiny with only 2 small couches. The tiniest lobby I've seen in my life for a hotel that big! "

"The rooms were spacious and kept very clean. The staff was excellent in trying to service all the requests and very accommodating. Kitchen did not have enough utensils to cook full meals. Upon request they brought 2 sets of pans. It’s better to book the Royal suite if you absolutely need a full kitchen which had all utensils."

"Maison Taina is located in the hills above Papeete. It is an attractive two storey property that catches refreshing breezes and has fabulous views of the reef. Accessing the rooms upstairs for people with limited mobility could be an issue but there was plenty of help for me with suitcases.You definitely need a car to access food from stores, restaurants etc that are close by but not within walking distance or you need to stock up on food supplies before you get to the property. A taxi fare from the port to the property cost US $30.00.From the property to the airport US$50.00. My room and bathroom were spacious and featured a balcony with outdoor seating.Valerie was very happy to provide anything needed. The breakfast was served in the pool house which is there for the guests to use. It has a large fridge for guests' food, filtered water, a dining table and chairs and even fresh free bananas from the garden. Breakfast is served here every morning consisting of fresh fruit and delicious pastries and wonderful, authentic, french coffee. Wine is also available to purchase. The pool is refreshing and maintained to a high level.I really enjoyed my stay here due to Valerie's friendliness and helpfulness and the opportunity to meet other guests in the other three rooms. A great base for sightseeing in Tahiti or for me a lovely place to just relax after a cruise and before a flight home.Thank you so much to Valerie and her lovely family for looking after me so well. "Thevroom i had was a double bed private room .it didnt have any street noiseband was nice and dark due to having internal walls within the building ..a perfect spot if you are just lookingvfor a bed due to early morning flights from tahiti..thestaff were also very helpful organising late taxis . Highly recomend...its also near the port good if u want to whale watch or snorkel."
