"Very good location close to a range of restaurants within 5 mins walking. The complimentary breakfast was excellent, and welcome drinks most evenings a bonus. Limited parking could be full in high season but parking available across the road."

"We had planned to be in Charlottetown from September 18th-20th, however the dates changed last minute and this location was available and within our budget. The location is extremely convenient and is less than a 10 minute walk to downtown. There was a slight hiccup with the payment, as I was charged immediately after booking due to a non refundable stay. This was no problem, however the morning of the 11th I received a notification that my credit card had an attempted charge in the same amount. Thankfully, I keep my card turned off when not in use so the charge was declined. I called to get check in instructions and after a quick conversation, the owner (Todd) did see that I had paid and everything was sorted. Check in instructions were simple and we had zero issues. Parking worked well, but can get tight. I want to really make it known that you are staying in a building built in 1873 - if you do not like antique places with lots of character, this will not be for you. Staying in an older building means an open mind is a must! We stayed in room 8 which was clean and bright. It was clear the bathroom/shower was an addition, however it did the job (thankfully we are not tall!). Please note that those with mobility issues would be comfortable elsewhere, as there are lots of stairs and tight hallways. Overall, it suited our needs and we agreed we would stay here again with interest of trying one of the other rooms."

"We recently stayed at the Sydney for four nights while visiting PEI. Would highly recommend staying at this property for several reasons including friendliness of the staff, cleanliness of the room & common areas, and the breakfast each morning (particularly the PEI potatoes)! The location is a five minute walk to the park, pier, and downtown while being slightly out of the cruise ship traffic/congestion. Charlottetown is a great location to be able to bounce around the island while still having plentiful choices for restaurants. Looking forward to a return trip!"

"Ça fait 4 ans d'affiliées que nous venons à cet hôtel et j'ai été surprise de constater qu'ils ne servent plus de déjeuner. Maintenant, il y a quelques collations tels que muffins, barres de granola, fruits et jus à la chambre qui peuvent grandement faire l'affaire si vous n'avez pas beaucoup d'appétit ou le temps de subsister au vrai déjeuner. Les matelas et la literie sont confortables, mais apporter vos oreillers si vous désirez plus de confort. *Leurs oreillers sont IMMENSES et donnent mal au cou. L'établissement est propre et nouvellement rénové ce qui a rendu notre séjour plus agréable visuellement. On passera pour la sonorisation puisqu'il y a eu un mariage le samedi soir de notre séjour et la chambre à côté de la nôtre était d'ambiance festive et nous entendions tout ce qui se disait des deux hommes qui y étaient. Sinon, les autres nuits, les gens ont été respectueux du silence à compter de 10h30pm."
