"The lobby and ballroom area look incredible. The area of the hotel where the rooms are is incredibly outdated. The bedroom door doesn’t properly close, and while the rooms are “updated” the feeling gives 2 star motel vibes. The plus side is the staff are very kind and helpful. There are plenty of other places to stay for the price."

"Stayed 2 days in May 2026 Very noisy neighbor, went to office needed a different room, young man in office said he'd speak to the room next door.....i said please don't just move me.....the way the world is today, fear of retribution from neighbor....I'm an older woman alone, neighbor a big man in 40's (i was staying 2 nights).....the neighbor was staying 1 night! The noisy neighbor never stopped, i called office and asked again to change room, which he finally did.......but it shoukd have been done immediately!! I stay here often, never had an issue or complaint before, this young man in office defended my neighbor, and said he is a regular, and no one ever complained about him before, instead of being concerned about me the older woman, alone who is also a regular, due to this incident i may decide not to stay at the Sea Girt Lodge during my 6 visits a year to my hometown area."

"The front desk staff did their best to address the ant issue. They offered to put us in another hotel near by. We were packed and in the car ready to check out, loosing a whole night, of which they would not refund. My grandson had ants in his bed, on the walls, in my puppy’s food and water bowel. The bath tub looked dirty. I keep Lysol wipes in my car and I am glad I did. The floors looked dirty. I didn’t get any sleep and we were very uncomfortable worrying about ants. My puppy was uncomfortable also. What is so sad is that the location to the beach is ideal but the hotel is run down and needs much work. With fresh paint and good thorough cleaning the hotel could be acceptable. A dirty mattress greeted us as we walked up the stairs to the 2nd floor. I sell real estate for over 10 years and if I were to stage a property like this to put on the market, I would recommend my sellers do much maintenance, repair, paint and clean up because Presentation is everything! I should have paid attention to the reviews, but I thought for the price how bad could it be. It’s to bad this property with so much potential is not cared for."
