"This hotel is over priced for what you get (basically a room that's been cleaned with very basic amenities that you expect anywhere. It's a old style hotel with rooms that have been updated only to the extent that you can't call them shabby. The windows were opened when we arrived and it was obvious that they are trying to prevent mold. There is no breakfast and no fruit or other food items that you would expect to find in a $300/night room. Our sense was that the owner is just using this hotel as a coin operating machine where he provides the most basic hospitality service. At this price, go across the street and stay at Asilomar. You'll be closer to the ocean and you'll be staying at the fantastic campus designed by the great Julia Morgan."

"The inn was a throw back to when I grew up in Monterey, Pacific Grove, and Pebble Beach. The room, though older, had all the amenities my daughter and I needed and appreciated for our trip. The main reason I chose this lodging was for its location. It was perfect. From walking along the beach each morning to having an astounding coffee at the next door coffeehouse, the Lover’s Point Inn exceeded my expectations. I will definitely be frequenting The Lover’s Point Inn in my future trips to the peninsula and I look forward to seeing the friendly and helpful staff again."

"Just sad how bad this place has become. They advertise a tiny dirty plastic leather couch as a queen sofa bed for 2! The “breakfast” is a total joke with tiny muffins from the dollar store. Upcharges galore. The staff is annoying and can’t be bothered. Cannot recommend less. "
