Hotels near Pohick Stream Valley Park

"Hotel was outdated and in need of many repairs and a good cleaning. Bed linens and towels were clean but the lampshades, walls, etc were dirty and the outlet was half broken on the wall. Only given one small bar of soap for both hands and shower. Had to ask for additional. Mini fridge door wouldn’t close until we took the drink holder out of it. Hallways constantly smelled of cigarette smoke. Would probably not stay again. "

"TLDR: Over $700 in surprise charges after a weekend stay; poor, untrained staff and unclear parking/incidentals policy. I was charged a $40 incidental hold and told a $10 parking fee applied for the whole stay; staff didn’t collect vehicle details or provide explanations. My keycards later stopped working; the desk shrugged it off as a “new system” and said it would “probably” happen again. I checked out by 10:56 AM but found over $700 charged to my card by 3:00 PM. No manager was available on Sunday and staff gave vague answers. Unprofessional handling and unexpected fees—avoid if you don’t want surprise charges or untrained employees."

"No coffee or breakfast, you charge for parking in an outside open lot. Upgraded rooms have rust in the showers, and water pressure is poor. Definitely will not stay at this hotel again, and I visit Woodbridge Va monthly."

"Our stay at the Best Western was okay, but it didn’t feel worth the price compared to other hotels on our trip. When we arrived, the outside smelled strongly like rotten fish because of a blossoming tree, which wasn’t a great first impression. The room was clean but dated, with scuffed walls and some peeling paint, and the breakfast was mediocre. Checkout was handled through a virtual attendant on a screen, which caused long wait times. Considering this was the most expensive hotel we stayed at (almost $200 a night), it was disappointing, especially since the cheapest hotel on our trip ($60/night) offered much better breakfast and customer service. The pool was also closed during our stay so amenities were lacking. "

"The hotel was not in an area where there were a lot of shopping or restaurants nearby. There were a few, but it was not in a metropolitan area - which was fine for us. We were going to visit friends nearby and then to Washington DC for a visit. The outdoor pool was closed, unfortunately. Breakfast was just okay. Processed eggs were fine, if you aren't picky. There was a DIY waffle maker. There were two sets of washer/dryers. Two ice machines and a couple vending machines located in a separate room away from hallway traffic. Parking was plentiful but not secured. Housekeeping was very accommodating to our request for additional coffee pods for our room. Linens and towels were good condition, cleanliness and quality."
