"The pool staff, especially the three Angel's were fantastic and anticipating the needs of the guests. I celebrated my birthday at the hotel and they all made it so special.. The hotel itself is well kept, clean, and always smelled amazing. This is my second stay at the Hyatt Centric Playa Downtown House but will not be my last. "

"This was our 13th time in Mexico but this is the best resort that we have ever stayed at. Everything was perfect. The service, the staff. The hotel itself is breathtaking. Our room was cleaned and spotless. Thank you to Yvette.The food was amazing especially specially at Dolma, one of the restaurants. The chef went above and beyond for us. They knew that we don’t eat any meat or chicken so they made sure to always make the best meals for us. From the check in til the day we left, they made sure that we were happy. The best part also is that it is literally walking distance to 5th avenue in Playa del Carmen. We can’t wait til we go back."

"Beautiful grounds. Huge property! Lots of activities for kids and a separate splash park. The wildlife is amazing. We loved watching the monkeys. There are several pools that are huge, beautiful, and well maintained. We thought the property was a great value. The buffets had a large variety and the food was good. I knocked off one star because the check in process was loooong and it was nearly impossible to get dinner reservations at the speciality restaurants. You had to go to the lobby at 7am to book 2 days in advance. These little blips would not stop me from staying there again. We had a great time. 4 adults. 2 rooms. This was a family trip with our adult children."

"We had a great experience staying at the hotel. The rooms and the hotel grounds were clean, the choice and quality of food and drinks excellent. My only sugesstion for the improvement is the prompt removal of the sargasum from the beach. The stuff was wonderful; Especially the beach waiter Enrique and entertainment Emanuel and Joe."

"The rooms are beautiful and the property is extraordinary. Great food and helpful staff throughout the property. You will be lost on the property the first few days. We found we didn’t need to put our request list in for restaurants and walked in regardless but came at a slower time. Only thing I wasn’t a fan of is not being able to see menus before booking/going into the restaurants.. leading to being in a place we had two people out of three not having any food choices and we had to walk away. We will be returning and recommend it to anyone who it fits within their budget. "

"Very nice rooms, all are re done. Buffet had large selection, but like any buffet they get tiring. Need to be on top of booking the restaurants. Lots of pools Need a bar open at the end by the beach in the evening, you have to walk all the way to the front."
