Candlewood Suites Fargo-N. Dakota State University by IHG
10/10 Excellent
"Have stayed at this hotel many times now for its convenient location up the street from the Fargo airport. The staff is always welcoming and kind.
I usually am only there for the one night in order to make an early morning flight out so their location is great, the beds are very comfortable and the rooms have a full kitchen and small table setup so you could cook and make the most of your stay. I have not used those amenities but it’s a great option knowing it’s there.
They have a nice size parking lot and I had a rental car this time so that made things easy. In the past I’ve worked with them to get a ride to the airport through their local “shuttle” service but also have used uber when needed.
In a good location to walk to some restaurants nearby and overall a great spot to stay highly recommend. "
"Great location right in downtown Fargo. Very walkable, and the adjacent parking garage was free on the weekend. Access to the hotel and elevators was highly controlled with room keys so felt very safe. Room was spacious and comfortable, but the pillows could use an upgrade. "
"Cool refurbished building with large, airy, comfortable room. Excellent bar/restaurant on first floor of building, great burger and beers place right across the street. There are other nice restaurants within a block, great coffee shop a few doors down. Parking was off site in a public garage a block away (seemed safe and cost $9 for the night). Near a nice riverside park for walking or biking. The price is a great value compared to the usual chain hotels.
The street by the hotel is fairly busy/noisy. The area around the hotel has a fair amount of unhoused individuals, but did not feel unsafe."
