"We chose and confirmed a room that specified a view of the harbor. This was not a request; this was the description of the room. When we checked in we were told that a harbor view room was not available.Our room had a view of only the backs of some old buildings.
In addition. there was a large support column in the middle of the room combined with a sloping ceiling that blocked access to the right side of the bed."

I was not keen on Cherbourg in the past, but now it's clean and with great walking paths, liking the pedestrenisation, it's so nice, always lovely flowers and a very nice place for a stay over! "Very friendly host/owner. The place is a family run hotel. The building itself is an old townhouse along the main road near Cherbourg. No elevator available , as usual for this type of building. Great breakfast and very welcoming."
"In order to close the door, you have to slam it so all you hear is the door is being slammed all day all night. It's noisy. The beds were uncomfortable. There's no water kettle. The only thing good about it. The shower worked pretty good and that's about it."

Le seul bémol est qu'on se retrouve dans une résidence Senioriale qui n'est pas du tout stipulé sur l'annonce de la réservation. Vous n'êtes pas du tout dans un hotel mais plus ou moins dans une maison de retraite. L'appartement se trouve avec les appartements des residents.
N'etant pas satisfaits nous avons écourté notre sejour.

"Comfortable room, unfortunately on loud road which cannot be helped. Spacious bathroom. Large bed. Receptionist did try and get us to pay again but eventually accepted we had paid. Did not have the breakfast so cannot comment. Conveniently near several restaurants and large supermarket. "
