"Warm welcome from the staff and owner and excellent suggestions for activities, food, and shopping. Very accommodating and great location. "

"Location is excellent, near everything you need, beach, restaurants …. The place is like new with all recent taste-full renovation. Juliette and Bat the receptionists were very kind and informative. We definitely will stay in here next time we are in Essaouria"

"Very nice quiet hotel, spacious lounge, swimming pool in a good location, very near the beach but away from the busy areas."

"We enjoyed the place so much we extended our stay. Initially the parking dilemma made us sceptical because it was quite a distance from the accommodation and required parking costs and porterage costs that we weren't told about. Eventually we booked in and couldn't fault the place and its authentic location."

"Clean room,Exceptionnel service, breakfast was fantastic(everything you need), couples , singles or families you will not regret your stay. Thanks and please keep it up👍"

"Great location, good breakfast, comfortable beds"

"I was especially impressed by the welcoming staff, who were able to assist with needed and made us feel very welcome. Room was decent size, excellent aircon and WiFi (not a given on my trip). The shower was powerful and the hotel was immaculately clean. Breakfast was varied and tasty. A very pleasant stay."

"Beautiful place and kind and helpful staff."

"We absolutely loved our stay here. The room was colorful and fun with a gorgeous tub that we used every night. The staff were beyond friendly and accommodating! The owner saw that it was my birthday and brought me flowers to dinner. The on site restaurant serves the most delicious breakfast included with your stay. The rooftop patio is also the perfect place for a cocktail and to watch the sunset over the ocean. We will 100 percent stay here on our next trip to Essaouria."

"I recently had the pleasure of staying at Riad Mumtaz Mahal in Essaouira from June 4th to June 7th, 2026. The experience was fantastic, and the Riad provided the perfect home base for exploring the city. I cannot recommend it highly enough for anyone visiting Essaouira."

"Lovely place in a very convenient and safe location with lovely owners and staff. It is spotless clean and very relaxing after a day in the souk and the bazaar. "
