Gran Hotel Sóller

"Overall, a nice place to stay directly in old town Soller, but it fell short of my expectations from the glowing reviews. It's advertised as a 5-star hotel, but that was not our experience at all. I will start with our room, which was located in the annex. The room paralleled a college dorm with Ikea-quality furniture, white walls that were all scuffed up, closet and mini-fridge doors that needed to be lifted up first in order to be closed/moved, issues with Wi-Fi connection, and a rock hard mattress with unsupportive pillows. It was a non-smoking room, but the faint smell of cigarettes lingered each time we walked into the room (which made me wonder if the room directly adjacent was a smoking room given that I saw an ashtray on their balcony). Staff was overall incredibly pleasant and kind! At check-in, however, we were not offered any help with our luggage or the car and were given improperly programmed room keycards. As for hotel parking, it's limited and there is no valet system, so spots can be blocked if guests themselves do not park with consideration of others...Btw, if you are driving here, please be aware that only permitted vehicles are allowed to drive within old town limits. As hotel guests, we were told we had permission to drive in town and are exempt from any police fines (just needed to give the hotel a copy of our rental car contract). The rooftop pool was the perfect reprieve from the heat with stunning mountain views. Breakfast buffet was ok."

"when our accommodations in soller were canceled at the last minute, my friend and i found rooms at hotel el guia and were very happy with our stay. while not a luxury hotel, it outshone many other "higher end" properties where i've stayed. it isextremely clean, well maintained, comfortable and perfectly situated just a block from the main town plaza. the staff were very friendly and helpful; in particular chelsea at the front desk did everything she could to make our stay easy and comfortable."

"This was a very nice stay, away from the summer crowds of Mallorca. Close to Sóller and Valdemossa, and also Palma. We spent most of our time by the small pool. The hotel complex was very nice and it was delightful to just spend time there. We loved the staff and their attentiveness. Jackie from the reception and Biel from the Bar were especially delightful people. We would love to go back to this place. At first we were doubtful about the location, but the property itself was very satisfactory and such a peaceful place to stay in with the Pool, nice architecture and the spa facilities."

"Spent a great day and night here in the mountains . Very relaxed, wonderful staff and amenities . Pool view was beautiful and atmosphere chilled. Will definitely go again. Only warning would be we noticed a large area for weddings and if there was a celebration on it could be a very different vibe so maybe check before you book ."

"This place is literally so peaceful and so beautiful. Being 500 years old is pretty awesome! The lady that checked us in was so nice! She toured us around and my partner and I fell in love with our bedroom on the first floor! Super spacious! Very romantic! Loved how it was private! The swimming pool was the highlight! The place itself was so aesthetically pleasing :)"

"It is a lovely small hotel. Remote location so if you dont like peace and quiet and beautiful views its not for you. We didnt have a car but short walk into village with restaurants and bars. Short walk to catch old fashioned train to palma or soller. Hotel has very contemporary interior. Toiletries provided. Beach/pool towels provided. We were upgraded to superior room with terrace. Excellent breakfast. Staff were so friendly and helpful. Always smiling. Innes was great. Only a couple of taxis in Bunyola so if you need one ask the hotel to book in advance."

"Location is amazing for peace, tranquility, and beauty. You should know before going that you need to walk to Soller or Fornalutx for necessities (it is a beautiful walk but can be intense in the heat each day unless you have a car). Moreover, the breakfast and staff here were wonderful + comfy beds and great showers. I highly recommend."
