It has the grandness of Shang but a little bit less maintained perhaps due to its distance from populated areas. Nevertheless the lawns are still manicured and the beds and rooms comfortable and clean. The only thing I miss is the bidet for the toilet which is a very big plus for me.

I have been to a lot of hotels in and out of the country. It was stated that Java Hotel is a 4-star hotel, hence, I managed my expectations. It is indeed a 4-star hotel but surpringly, the place is so unique you will surely love it! Some hotels look nice in pictures only but Java hotel is different! It looks so much better in real life....
The only disadvantage is that, it is located literally behind a gasoline station....but other than that, the place and the people will surely make you...

The two things we didn't like, first, our room was on the 2nd floor, there aren't any first floor rooms, I walk with a cane and the stairs to the second floor were steep and long. Second, there were some very unruly guests that woke us up at 3 AM.
