The location of hotel is brilliant for Pompeii, Herculaneum, Mount Vesuvius, Naples, Sorrento, Salerno etc, and the regular shuttle to and from Ercolano train station was very welcome. "It’s definitely a bit of a trek from the bus/taxi drop off and not for the faint of heart, but the property will pick you up and drop you off when requested. Busses are a little unreliable and taxis are a little pricey, but plan for extra time if you can and use the bus unless you have a lot of luggage. Luigi and Anastasia are great hosts. "A lovely property and location. I would not stay here again in the off/shoulder season. I think we may have been the only guests at somepoints. We went for breakfast on our second morning - we waited 30 mins and although staff were around, no-one came to serve any breakfast. The room itself was dusty - the vintage furniture has lots of nooks and crannies that would make dusting tricky. It may well be better in the summer/busier time periods."

"Agriturismo Mare e Monti was amazing! This has been the best stay of our Italy trip. The family that runs and owns the farm welcomed us as if we were family. "Not exactly great. Room looked not like we expected as per the view on hotels.com. Barely any toiletries in room. Towels were mega thin (we did get more from the spa). Didn't feel it was as described and was disappointing. AC worked great though so that is goood!"

"We made this our home base for exploring Capri, Naples, Paestum, Pompeii, etc. Ana is the perfect hostess. Her daughter in law is a fantastic chef. Bruna the dog is a welcomed visitor. We would highly recommend this choice for those driving around to various points of interest with a desire to sleep at a country estate every night with a home cooked dinner and breakfast."

"I have been there late August, beginning of September. The superior bungalow (Ciliegio) was nice and clean but the 3 of us founded very small. Great for a couple. Bathroom OK, spacious, powerful shower. It would have been helpful having a shelf on the sink. The door lock wasn't working. The pool was nice, remember you'll need a swimming cup for the pool.
