Pigeon Island hotel rooms a the Independent

"Be careful when trying to use resort credit. No one explained the resort credit came with certain conditions. When we checked out we were presented with a $300 bill for a dinner we understood was not included in the all-inclusive package and then told we could not apply the resort credit to this charge. No one ever explained the limitations on the resort credit. Felt very much like a bait and switch and ruined an otherwise great vacation"

"Huge rooms, lovely view from our balcony. Really peaceful hotel. Really friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful grounds with lots of plants and flowers around. The bar / restaurant is also great value, serves delicious food and very reasonable. Fab stay, would definitely recommend. "

"I was placed in a room with a horrible sewer smell, the ceiling fan lights not turning on and balcony door couldn’t lock on the ground floor, large holes in the blanket very expensive resort but not worth it. I will not be staying at this resort never again. "

"Windjammer was just 'OK' compared to other resorts we've visited in the Caribbean. For the price, we were hoping something would stand out... but it didn't. Unfortunately, we only remember the negatives. Paid drinks (~US$15) are extremely watered down, most times witnessed [literally] a splash of alcohol on top of the mix - they could at least use a jigger! On-property beach solicitation was annoying and disruptive. Shuttle service spotty at best and became a hassle - good luck walking the hills several times/day. The private pools had no umbrella (spots for them, but not installed), so no shade. All of the restaurants had the same basic food - nothing special in selection or taste so we went off-property most times. Nightly entertainment was OK, nothing special. Overall, would stay somewhere else if we return."

"Amazing place! Why would you ever go to another resort. We are not resort people because sitting on the beach is not our thing. This was our second time to Body Holiday because the food, service, activities and amenities are all excellent and not to even mention the daily included spa services. It was worth every penny. "

"Hotel is in a perfect area. The resort is beautiful. They have a lot of restaurants. Nice sea overview. I had a swimup pool room, it was really nice. I only went in once. Was nice for the experience. Hotel staff were very helpfull. Because I requested a late checkout but it was not possible anymore because of an arrival they had for that room they offered me a place to store my bags and the possibility to stay at the resort and/ shower because our flight was 7pm. Only thing was that i checked in at 4pm but checkin time was 3pm and the room wasn’t ready yet. Normally i wouldn’t mind but we had a sunset cruise and we where running out of time. Thankfully we still made it in time. "

"Rooms were clean, pools were clean… staff was rather unfriendly, getting reservations at the restaurants was near impossible. Also, you share the resort with kids… not adults only other than your building. "
