"We had to experience glamping. It is good to experience but overrated. We expected to be able to walk out to the river and walk but there was no path from any of the 14 cabins. Also could hardly see the river. Expected a Resturant on the grounds, but no. Could smell sewage inside and outside. Did not like the coffee pot experience. You had to heat water in the pot, pour it over a paper filter with coffee grounds, and wait for it to drain down into a coffee cup. Then only one filter left (2 supplied) to make the second cup. My wife had her coffee dranked before mine was ready. They should provide a 10 or 12 cup coffee maker to allow us time to sit outside by fireplace while listening to the river we could hardly see. Definitely not worth the price when you can stay at a nice hotel with all the perks, tv and breakfast!"
"The place has a very pretty view, however, it’s a long drive over a road with a lot of potholes., the hot tub wasn’t working, and neither was the WiFi.
Our room had the bathroom outside of the room, and they placed a sofa right in front of our door, so when we needed to go to the bathroom, there was always someone seating in the sofa, which was very uncomfortable., and even though our room had a beautiful view, there was a place for a couple to sit- right outside our window, so we had no way of getting dressed or going to the bathroom without an audience! Very uncomfortable as this room has no privacy.
They told us since the WiFi didn’t work we could go to the other house to use it, and when we did there was dog poop.
Breakfast was good, but when we were going to serve ourselves, the guy in charge told us they had 19 people over so we had to eat a little."
"Every encounter was absolutely lovely!! From the rooms, to the location, and even the lobby presentation was curated and too cute for words. We will most definitely be coming back to stay again!!"
"We booked two nights under separate reservations due to a change in circumstances/plan. I contacted the property via text as they requested, and asked them to combine the reservations so we didn’t have to move rooms etc and could use the same door code. Mind you there is no office to go to, just an online check in system and texting. The confirmed the reservations merged, perfect.
Fast forward to our second day, suddenly the door code expired (at the 11 am check out time, even though they were supposed to combined) and couldn’t get back into the room. Texted the office several times to try to get a new code/completed a new check in page online and got no response. After about 30 minutes of several texts and no answers, i called the phone number (which I had previously called regarding the reservation
Concern and got no answer) they answer, and give me the new code. Sounds good. Go to enter the code, still doesn’t work. Thankfully one of us is in the room at this point and my husband was on the outside and able to be let in. Several texts about the code not working, never got an answer or a response, i asked if they could make sure the code was activated, nothing. The code never ended up working. So we were essentially stuck inside since we wouldn’t have been able to get back in."
"Clean and comfortable room. Shower had great pressure. I was in town for a wedding, family stayed at the tower Inn and Alpine and this was certainly nicer than the two."
"I love the convienence of this property and being able to just walk out of our room into the hot springs. However, for the price I expected much more from our room. I firmly understand that rooms are not the draw here, but I did expect a more updated facility. Check out the coffee shop Root just a short walk across the bridge. What an awesome treasure. "
