Amazing stay. The resort is beautiful and very well maintained. The setting is truly incredible. I was looking for rest and relaxation and I can't imagine a better setting for that purpose. The pool is beautiful. The view is spectacular. The tea room was such a pleasant place to watch the sunset. Food was excellent and service was prompt and friendly. I will look forward to my return!!

This property is beautiful, the villa was clean and modern. The staff Alejandra and Byron are super friendly and helpful. The pool area is beautiful and well maintained. The food is good and the service was amazing. If you want a secluded and peaceful getaway this is the place
AMAZINGLY customer service oriented. Bereníce, staff, SO attentive, kind & thorough. Prior to arrival, resort administrator engaged to make personalized arrangements. Wifi steady & stable. Jacuzzi a plus. For arrival, standard vehicle OK (albeit slow w potholes with some portions being unpaved roads), but 4x4 might be helpful. Highly recommend to get away from it all to chill. I travel a lot, and I would go back.
Absolutely loved this place. If you are looking for a place to relax and disconnect this is your place. The staff was amazing; they were very accommodating and very alert of everyone. Everyone was so sweet and genuine. The food was amazing; never had one bad dish. Honestly this place is hidden gem. 10/10 recommend.
Beautiful and intimate, Vida Mountain is a sanctuary tucked away from the noise of the nearest city. The food is spectacular and provide a wide variety of options for anyone. Bernice is a fabulous person and she runs this resort with great care and attention, while also respecting people’s quiet and solitude. Perfect for couples and those seeking a high end experience at a very respectable price. Spa, wellness center and hiking trails all onsite.
What an absolute gem of a place. I didn't want to leave!
After a 2 week road trip, we wanted somewhere an 'easy' drive of SJO airport before our longhaul flight, and this place was perfect. We felt it extended our holiday because we instantly totally relaxed.
The rooms had lovely comfortable beds and stunning views. The pool was amazing, as was the yoga room, the food was delicious and cooked with love. All the staff were delightful, making sure we were able to have massages in the beautiful Spa room.
All with a view of the Pacific, and the sunsets.
Staff are amazing and make this a special place. The vibe is so relaxing. Access roads are not really suitable for small cars (4x4 required). Just a great place to unwind for a few days…additional, the restaurant is great and reasonably priced

After traveling on a dirt road with rocks, I arrived at the property, expecting it to be a resort and spar. I’m an older gentleman and they showed me my
Accommodations and there was no air conditioning or television, and I walk with the brace and there were a lot of steps to walk up and down. I went to a beverage and salad.

I wouldn’t recommend to stay here, most because the management is very unethical and overcharge you on everything, give inaccurate prices starting from their hotel menu to their booking activities, spas or transport. They charge triple the price for what it is, just be caution and double check everything you order from there, and always ask to see prices on the menu, they make stuff up. But really just recommend to avoid this place. The view from the property itself is beautiful and the only thing that made the stay manageable.

Getting to this resort was incredibly difficult - if you’re traveling here, going through San Ramon is the ‘easier’ way but it’s scary. The resort is incredibly remote - more remote than I was expecting. It also looked to be run down and very little comforts for such a secluded place. Shortly after arriving, we were told by a couple that they had frequent visitors to dinner in the form of scorpions and tarantulas, and that each meal is pretty similar to the last. That gets old after a couple days. We ended up checking out an hour or so after checking in - it wasn’t what we were expecting and we didn’t feel like we’d be comfortable there for our stay. The host, Byron, was very sweet and kind, and very understanding.

Extrem nettes Personal, tolle Aussicht, abseits gelegen.
Thank you!! Incredible views, staff and overall experience. The location is phenomenal -- surrounded by the mountains, looking out onto the jungle and the Pacific Ocean. Tip: regardless of where you are coming from, be sure to drive up the San Ramon side of Route 742 (there are portion that are unpaved on this route, but this is the very best option to get there). And once you arrive, so amazing and well worth the drive -- from the delicious fresh food, attentive staff, restorative activities (e.g., yoga, sound healing, forest bathing), and don't forget the spa, and so much more. I plan to come back again and highly recommend if you are looking for a magical experience!
Loved the quiet off the beaten track area & the amazing view, but would be nice if they had shuttle service to town so those that didn’t have a car could get to the market.
Spa & yoga are unreasonably expensive.
First nite was greeted by a large tarantula in the dining area which kept trying to come back. No one kills them just moves them away.
Apparently we were visiting in Tarantula season... good to know!
Grounds are lovely!
What a view. The outdoor pool was lovely, a bit fresh but it was nice to overlook the mountains. We were here for Christmas and enjoyed a nice dinner, the restaurant was very accommodating. Lovely place to visit.
The property is absolutely beautiful and very peaceful. Unfortunately we only stayed one night and should certainly have stayed longer to take advantage of more options. Staff was very friendly and helpful
This place is really amazing, just beautiful. From the accommodations to the food and the view. Every detail was thought of to maximize on the beautiful setting. My only recommendation would be to make sure that you arrive before dark as the drive to the hotel is on a sometimes unpaved and unlit mountain road. Also, and this is very important, take the 742 from San Ramon rather than the other entrance.
