"The rooms were clean and really nice. They let us have two rooms right beside each other. The pool and hot tub were great. The staff was very helpful and the breakfast was delicious."
"The pool is not big enough to swim laps in. It is two circles with a circular Jacuzzi in the middle. The Jacuzzi water was hot, but there are no Jacuzzi jets didn't work. We were told the pool was heated. But the water was chilly.
The property is lovely . Everyone was helpful. My room had a dirty coffee cup on the mantle and someone else's shoes in the closet. But it also had a beautiful fireplace that was on a timer, a huge tub, and beautiful tile work. There was a lovely fire pit in the quad for anyone to use as well. We got dinner to go and ate by the fire.
They have a free shuttle that will take you into town and bring you back within a range of miles . We did not use it, but we thought that was a wonderful service to offer."
"We go to Taos every 4th of July. This was our first stay at the La Fonda. Hotel was clean and convenient. The only negative was the noise level. A lot of teens parked on the square blasting music and revving their car engines. It echoes down the alley and right into our room. They quit about midnight."
"Outstanding hotel - on every level. The attention to detail in the rooms is the best I've seen. Thoughtful and expert design choices focus on quality and relaxation without being ostentatious. I loved that when we entered our room the retro radio beside the bed was quietly playing a local music station. The bathroom was beautiful with adobe walls and a rainfall shower. The pool is set beautifully amid a high desert garden, which the sauna windows also look out on, making it the perfect place to de-stress. The cold plunge is a great addition, too. We didn't get to try the restaurant, but it looks fantastic. In the mornings, they serve fresh local (complimentary) coffee, which you can drink on the shaded patio overlooking the mountains. The town center is also walkable from the hotel. We had a fantastic stay and hope to come back soon."
"This place gets 5 stars! The location is close to all the places we wanted to see. The room was spotless! The beds were VERY COMFORTABLE. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay again when in the area.😀"
