"Very good hotel! It was located within minutes of piazza Tasso and the train station. Easy to walk everywhere. Room was very clean and comfortable.
The only thing that I was not happy at all was one of the front desk employees. Getting to Sorrento takes you a few hours specially when coming from Milan. When we got there it was around 1:30pm. We know check in it’s not supposed to be until 3pm but in all the hotels I’ve been around the world sometimes the rooms are ready before that time. The front desk lady was rude to us and said to wait outside because the room was not ready yet. If she had said it to us in a different way we would totally understand but she didn’t have manners.
Right after the front desk shift, there was another couple right next to us who had the same situation with this lady, and at 2:15 they went and ask the next shift in lobby and they gave us our rooms.
I had so say this. However, I was very happy with the hotel and the cleanliness. Breakfast service was very good and overall I would definitely stay here next time I come to Sorrento "
"We loved this hotel! Beautiful rooms with a beautiful view. Very comfortable beds! The breakfast buffet was amazing. The staff were all very helpful. The rooftop bar was always empty with such a great view of the water! My husband used the gym once and both pools were great too. The hotel was a 10 minute walk to the heart of Sorrento and all of the amazing restaurants and the port. I would definitely stay there again!"
"I cannot more enthusiastically recommend Gran Hotel Royal. We had bay view rooms which were amazing, especially at night with the balconies. The breakfast buffet was outstanding and service impeccable. My son sprained his ankle prior to our stay and they had crutches available as well as further recommendations for medical care. If we are ever back in Sorrento we would stay at the Grand Hotel Royal without hesitation."
"We were pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to a better room upon arrival, which made our stay even more special. The room was clean, modern, and offered stunning views (best in town).
Breakfast was absolutely delicious, and the staff at the restaurant were very friendly and attentive. Everyone made us feel welcome and well taken care of.
The hotel also provides a convenient complimentary shuttle service to Sorrento center every hour, which made exploring the area easy and stress-free.

"Super clean room, comfy bed, great Air Conditioning! The included breakfast was delicious and had plenty of options. Location was perfect, just steps from the main square, shopping and restaurants. All of the staff were pleasant and helpful. They even arranged (on less that a days notice!) for a tour of Pompeii that picked us up directly in front of the hotel. They also arranged for a driver take us to and from the airport and the service they used was wondeful. My only complaint would be that I would have liked an extra outlet in the bathroom for my flat iron. I would absolutely stay here again!"
