Good location ,though no beach access Steve , the Owner is extremely helpful , and he is one of the best in this respect.

Not well maintained "resort"

We booked thinking this was going to be a nice resort but it wasn't. When we first arrived there was no one there to greet us to check in. The place seemed run down. Currently, the owner Steve is the only one running the place. Steve greeted us when he came back, checked us in, advised us of the area, and told us about renting a motorbike across the street (great place to rent). We went into the room to put our bags down and there were 8-10 cockroaches in the bathroom. Upon telling him, he immediately had a maintenance man come and patch the cracks in the bathroom and get rid of the cockroaches. While the bathroom problem was being fixed, he took us around the town to show us the area. This hotel does not have beach access and the beach it's "near" is so dirty and filthy with trash we were afraid of stepping foot on it. There are concrete steps however down to the rocky area water, which you can rent a canoe and paddle around the ocean. It was rare seeing Steve around as one night we wanted to play pool but no one was around to get the sticks and balls from. After we had motorbiked around during the day we would come back and swim in the over-cholorinated pool, which made the eyes sting and burn. Unfortunately the bathrooms at the pool are dirty so would not suggest to use them. Beds are not comfy and the air con was loud! Overall, we were disappointed with our stay as the place was run down and not well maintained. Would not come back to this hotel ever.

It's about the people you meet!

A great experience. Meet really cool people and Steve (the owner/manager) is very helpful and takes great care of his guest. Stay here if you are looking for a quiet, yet friendly place where travel is about the people you meet.

Great owner and atmosphere but grubby room

We would have stayed longer as Steve is an absolute star, very helpful, took us in his car to see a hidden waterfall, a great beach (called the hidden beach but actually a where the Thais go at the weekend), he dropped us at a beach bar and we spent a great evening with him. Unfortunately the room we were given looked like it hadn't been used in a while as there were cobwebs all over, the AC didn't work, it was very dusty and bathroom needed thorough clean. We booked a bungalow but got a room. I believe there are only 2 proper bungalows. The rest are just classic rooms I recommend to book seafront room as they looked much better. The place has a 24 hour shop right opposite and you can rent a bike for 250 baht a day nearby. Despite some funny stories from Steve about terrible guests, the people staying there were all very friendly and laid-back, and not your typical Phuket crowd at all. In fact the place and the area felt like an entirely different island. In short, the friendliest host we had in 6 weeks by miles, but the place needs a good spring clean.

Nettes Hotel Phuket

Das Hotel ist ganz nett. Der Hotelbesitzer und sein Angestellter super nett und hilfsbereit. AusflĂŒge, Tipps, Hilfe jeglicher Art kein Problem. Wurden immer zu einem tollen Strand gefahren und wieder geholt. Teilweise mĂŒsste das Hotel und das GelĂ€nde saniert werden. Moskitoschutz so gut wie nicht vorhanden. Klimatisierung ok. FrĂŒhstĂŒck ist ganz in Ordnung. WĂŒrden wieder kommen.

The staff was perfect, he was so friendly and so kind. The pool was clean and we can swim 24h. There are 24h supermarket, some delicious cheep restaurants, clinic and others in one minute walk. If I visited to Thailand again, I will stay here.

Right on the water! Excellent place to stay!

We stumbled upon this gem needing a quick place to stay and ended up booking another night stay and spending the day cruising the area and eating locally at the great restaurants. Steve is an amazing host and made sure we had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable as possible. It's not in a "touristy" part and really gave us the full experience. The sun rises and sets on the water over some mountain in the distance and you get a perfect view!!! Highly recommend you stay at Fiji Palms. We will most definitely be going back.

Mannen som Àgde hotellet var lite speciell. Han var snÀll och hjÀlpsam till en början, men jag och min vÀn berÀttade att vi skulle till Phi Phi och han sa att han kunde köra oss till hamnen och boka vÄra biljetter för 600 baht, och sÄ skulle han ta extra 300 baht för bensinen till sin bil. Men dagen dÀrpÄ lÀste jag pÄ internet att man kunde fÄ biljetter för 350 baht. Mannen blev vÀldigt irriterad nÀr jag nÀmnde det och snÀste ifrÄn pÄ en gÄng. DÄ ville han helt plötsligt inte hjÀlpa oss lÀngre och sa istÀllet dÄ: jag bokar er en taxi till 11:30 sÄ fÄr ni Äka och köpa biljetter sjÀlva. Ok sÀger jag men kan vi inte riskera att ej fÄ följa med bÄten dÄ? Troligtvis svarar mannen. Utan att bry sig. DÄ sÀger jag (för övrigt var jag vÀldigt övertrevlig hela konversationen) att vi gÀrna tar hans hjÀlp men dÄ ville han inte hjÀlpa oss lÀngre. KÀndes lite mysko. Till sist fick vi frÄga honom igen efter nÄgon timme nÀr han lugnat sig (jag menar hotellets lÀge ligger i en förort/slummen) sÄ vi kunde inte fÄ tag pÄ annan resebyrÄ eller taxi till piren, sÄ det kÀndes som att vi var lite i beroendestÀllning till honom. Iallafall, dÄ bad vi att fÄ Äka med honom igen och han sa tillslut att det gick bra. Men det var verkligen inte kul. Hotellet var okej annars. Glipa mellan dörren och terassen sÄ kackerlackor kunde gÄ in som dom ville. Poolen var trasig pÄ sidorna sÄ man kunde skÀra sig om man rörde kanterna pÄ den.

Wir hatten zwei total nette nĂ€chte. Steve der Besitzer ist sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Macht auch eine FĂŒhrung und zeigt das wichtigste. Es ist nicht viel los in der gegend aber zum entspannen genau das richtige. Zimmer sind sauber und auch komfortabel.

Better places around.

Steve is very helpful but this place needs a thorough overhaul as it is pretty dated. But would it be money well spent? No. Although located right on the waters edge you won't want to swim here as it is too rocky, very murky and uninviting. The nearest swimming beach is 2 kms. away. It is peaceful and quiet but so many nicer places. Eat in local restaurants as they are so much cheaper than those foreign owned.

Vi valde stÀller pga av de recensioner Àgaren Steve hade fÄtt tidigare om att han tog hand om gÀsterna pÄ ett positivt sÀtt. Vi blev inte besvikna och Steve tog med oss pÄ en liten " round trip" dÀr vi besökte ett vattenfall, Phuket aquarium samt en strand. Vi besökte ocksÄ en lokal skola som Steve hjÀlper till och undervisar i. Fiji palms Àr ett stÀlle som lyfter sig pga Steve men Àr annars ocksÄ ett bra budgetalternativ med AC, toa, dusch med varmvatten, pool, bra Wifi, tv med mÄnga kanaler mm. För att bada sÄ behöver man ta sig till nÄgon strand ett par kilometer lÀngre bort alt till av de nÀrliggande öarna. Vill ocksÄ nÀmna Steves anstÀllda de var vÀldigt barnvÀnliga sÄ ett tack till de ocksÄ.En sammanfattning gÀllande stÀllet Àr att Steve Àr bÀst emedan resterande Àr ett backpacker de luxe stÀlle.

The resort needs some upgrades and the owner Steve was upfront about it with us the moment we arrived. He said he'd make it up to us and he absolutely did. The service that Steve provides is 5 stars and you won't be disappointed. He showed us around and took us to some amazing hidden gems of Phuket.
