First off, staff was very nice and friendly for sure. Nothing was so terrible that we wouldn't stay again possibly, BUT not for the price. We paid double here compared to our other 4 nights on our vacation to MI, and I hate to complain, but was super disappointed. We rented the best family room w/ 2 Bathrooms planning to rest here a bit and enjoy the space... First off, our room was at the end of the building and we could only park at the opposite end. Quite a trek to pack stuff in and chairs on the walkway, so we used the grass. Next, the door between the room was extremely difficult to open/close, a bit concerning as our child was with Grandma in the other room. The decor/furnishings were in good working order, but very reminiscent of theh 70's! The exterior soffit was coming down by our room, needs attention. Breakfast was... odd... We were shown a list of 5/6 items and asked which one we wanted (boiled egg, yogurt, muffin, cinnamon roll, orange juice). I guess I didn't know how to respond, so I said, "uh, we're kinda hungry???". She disappeared and brought back paper bags with most of the items in it. Dining room is beautiful, so we sat to eat. Unfortunately, two places with water damage on ceiling with mushrooms growing out of it! I don't know, nothing was enough to ruin the stay, but for the $, expected much more. Great place to catch Tunnel of Trees from, just book a cheap room!
