"The room was clean at arrival but not thoroughly cleaned. Nor was it cleaned every day. We had to ask for facecloths and refrigerators, which should be a common amenity. The refrigerator did nothing for the food stored in it. The frig maybe kept food a bit above room temperature. My stored strawberries began to mold within four days. Asked to reheat a food item because the rooms did not have microwave ovens, and the staff declined. There was a kitchen at this hotel yet refused to heat a dish bought elsewhere. Don't expect staff to go out of their way to provide the expected service common to US hotels---it's not happening. The purchased breakfast food was less than room temperature at 0630 when the eating area opened. I don't know how that is possible. With the heated lamps are surface, if you did not place the food on your plate immediately after the cook placed it on display for consumption, the food got cold. Pancakes cold, waffles cold, eggs, cold, etc. No cream (only milk) for coffee. The cream is in the packets they place in your room with the freeze-dried coffee packet. The cookies they place in the rooms daily was a nice touch. Fee for parking is required adding to the cost of the stay. No street parking nearby. Lastly, my associate purchase dinner (a steak). It was laughable. The steak was thin, larger than the size of a credit card, yet shorter than the length of a standard cell phone. A nearby Wendy's would have done the instead. Enjoy!"
"Staff were okay. No enthusiasm or whatsoever and just literally gave us the welcome paper and that's it. Restaurant staff were slightly better as they were a bit more welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was basic and dry. We wanted to swim and use the pool with our baby but weren't allowed as they told us that there's only a time allowed for babies, however this wasn't explained to us upon checking in and a bit of consideration and 'hospitality' could go a long way as we requested that even a quick lounge would really be appreciated but nothing. Again, dry communication. "
"Me and my husband stayed therefrom 19th to 20th. The staff who checked in was a lady. The way she treated us was not appropriate. I already booked by the application and she ask for my card details, which includes everything from complete card number, expiry date and CVV.
She said she want to confirm that the same person is checked in. I told her thats why i gave the ID and she already photocopied it.
Still she asked for my card details and said if I dont provide it she cant give us the booked room. I felt like why? She said everyone gave card details and she showed us others card details also in a white paper. I felt it’s completely illegal that its not safe to show others there card details . She said its their rule. We said to show the rule . She didnt say anything about that. At last i gave last four digits of my card details to get the room. She said, the security will also check something like that which i dont understand.
The way she speaks feel completely disrespectful.
She said no smoking in room. I said we both dont smoke. Then she said everyone says like that but end up in smoking in room. I dont feel its not an appropriate customer service they
Provided. Except her everyone was so good.good service."
"All staff we met were friendly and helpful, including spa staff.
Room clean and spacious, not modern but traditional as would expect in older part of building. Shower hot, bathroom huge!
Mattress not the best though.
Think room would be cold in Winter due to period windows, single glazed and not air tight.
Breakfast also traditional, nice to have tea and coffee served at table, fresh bread , hot food good, cereals limited and basic."
