Top Perthshire Hotel Reviews

Ballathie Country House Hotel and Estate
10/10 Excellent
"The room was lovely and spacious and the garden rooms are very dog friendly. It was great having direct access to the outside from the room for our dog and she loved the large grounds. It's very handy having a fridge in the room and breakfast was excellent. Staff were very friendly and attentive. This was our 2nd time here and we'll be back."

Fonab Castle Hotel & Spa

"Great stay. Very professional staff"

Salutation Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Keep in mind it has been there for a few hundred years. The rooms are good and the hotel is near food drink and music"

Scotlands Spa Hotel
6/10 Okay
"The name of the hotel makes it sound like a luxurious place, on first impression it’s a nice building from the outside and the reception area has been finished nicely. The reception area shares a window with the spa pool which was exciting to my wee boy. We were a bit early so sat and waited to be checked in and it was nice sitting having a coffee. When we got up to our room I was a bit unimpressed with the decor on the floor, damaged wallpaper, scuffed/damaged skirting boards. Once we were in the room it was mixed feelings. The beds were big and comfortable and clean but the carpet was ripped and there was a dried pea sitting on the floor (random!). The bathroom was where the room was really let down, the toilet seat repeatedly shifted when using it and the shower flow was so poor that I ended up using a cup at the sink to wash the shampoo out of my hair. In the morning the bathroom was very cold with no way to heat it up for children having a bath. The staff were all lovely, can’t fault them one bit. The pool was fine, a good few tiles missing around the edges and steps but the water was lovely and warm. The changing rooms were a bit dated with some lockers without doors and a bit of a dirty odour to them. Breakfast was nice, a bit of a crush with the amount of people but again staff were on top of keeping an eye on food getting low etc and the food was hot and plentiful. All in all a bit of a mixed bag, not a luxurious stay but a fine, basic base."

Atholl Palace Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Stunning place to stay, staff was all pleasant. Beautiful grounds to walk on"

The Pitlochry Hydro Hotel
6/10 Okay
"Overnight break with breakfast & dinner included. Disappointed with the set meal. There was no fish & one of the starters they didn't have. However the did accommodate for us to have something from the bar menu. Stay was comfortable."

Killin Hotel
8/10 Good
"Old hotel, but clean and close to killin activities"

The Abbotsford
8/10 Good
"Beautiful location. Nice and quiet. Keep in mind it is an old building and the amenities reflect that."

Crieff Hydro
10/10 Excellent
"Had a brilliant time with my husband and absolutely loved seeing the newly renovated Crieff Hydro, it’s absolutely beautiful. We were there child-free celebrating our 10-year anniversary, so it felt extra special. The meals and breakfasts were outstanding and really made the stay even more enjoyable. Our only frustrating moment was when we tried to have a drink in the adult bar. Unfortunately, there appeared to be only one member of staff on. We sat down for around 15 minutes without any acknowledgment or update that we couldn’t be served, and eventually ended up going to the other bar instead. Such a shame, as we were really looking forward to enjoying that part of the experience. Overall though, we had a lovely stay."
