"Nice venue with comfortable surroundings. Bar and dining areas are nice and welcoming. Bedrooms are good value, a bit dated but again comfortable and would recommend "

"The room was clean and well aired and had a great view beyond the car park. The staff on reception were very helpful and friendly at check in and check out. The bar was lively on Friday night (there was football on the TV). The breakfast was OK - the items cooked to order were not very big portions. The outside area was very untidy, lots of leaves and debris from the trees that could easily have been swept up. There were 3 very full ashtrays on the tables outside left from the previous evening - not a pretty sight while you are having your breakfast. "

"Great reception staff, helpful and professional. Hotel is interesting and characterful. Comfortable well decorated room with decent linen. Decent breakfast but porridge was a bit watery A few downsides…… A lot of noise from the bar opposite until 11.30 and there is only single glazing because of its age. Heating from the A.C. panel was slow in heating the room, however the central heating kicked in during the night and the pipes were noisy with the constant sound of running water in the room. Shower in the morning was no more than a tepid trickle even when set to fully hot. Grubby curtains and no nets in the room although other rooms had them. Wouldn’t stay again as there are plenty of options in this price range. Parking expensive at £17 for residents."

"We stopped overnight at the Crowne Plazza, it was a lovely hotel. The rooms were spacious and had everything that you would need. The pool was not huge but was fine for a gentle swim and the spa tub was nice. We had dinner in the hotel and the food and service were good. Overall a great stay "
