"This property is a gem for history enthusiasts. It contains a museum of artifacts discovered during renovations and is decorated to match the period it was built in. "The Days Inn at Gettysburg was very nice. The staff was very friendly. Our room was clean and fresh and the king size bed and pillows were very comfortable and I actually slept well. I do miss the coffee maker in our room, but they do have coffee and tea in the lobby 24x7. Their breakfast was basically "continental", so we ate at a local restaurant for more substantial food. They had the basics, but I am not a cereal kind of person. Other than that, we had a pleasant stay and I highly recommend this hotel."

"Honestly after reading some bad reviews I wasn’t sure what to expect. The rooms were clean and larger than I thought they would be. The breakfast staff were amazing! The first day the lady at the breakfast cottage was so nice! My girls wanted chocolate muffins and there weren’t any left. The lady working said she had more and she brought some out. My girls were so happy since chocolate muffins are their favorite. Before leaving our room for the day I told my girls to make sure they take their blanket from home off the bed so it doesn’t get taken by accident. My girls forgot and when we got back they made the bed and had their blanket laid out nice under the hotel blankets. The girls loved that. My kids all enjoyed the pool as well. We were super close to everything which was awesome. We usually stay at more expensive hotels but since I had my niece it would have cost so much for 2 rooms. My kids said they enjoyed this inn more than any of our other stays. We will definitely be coming back. Yes the rooms are a little outdated but honestly who cares. It was clean and the location couldn’t have been better. Again all of the staff were the best by far of any place we stayed at and we stay at a lot of places. Some reviews said it was loud but we were room 117 and we were close to the saloon and it wasn’t very loud. We can’t wait to go back and a plus is with the reasonable rates it allowed us to do even more things like a ghost hunt."

"Our group booked 2 rooms and both were very clean and comfortable. 2 out of our group were handicapped and there was no issues with accessibility. The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was the only thing that I would say was just okay, nothing wrong, just missing a few things that would've given it a better rating. As close to the park as it is, this hotel is definitely a good value!"

"Printed instructions need to be provided for operation of the TV. Selecting programs needs to be more intuitive. Also, I do not like the refillable dispensers for shampoo and etc. Because sealed products are not provided, I furnish what I need. Everything else was fully satisfactory. Thanks."

"We stayed in the Kentucky Room of the Welty house for 3 nights in June 2026. We arrived about 845pm. There was no parking, but when I contacted the help line, they were able to direct me to legal (and free) parking nearby to unload. Parking was not an issue the rest of our stay. The grab and go breakfast was ok. The coffee available is all K cups, so again ok. They did have a wide selection of flavors including teas for the Keurig machine. Bantham Coffee was about 2 blocks away if you are looking for more gourmet coffee. The grab and go items included some granola bars, instant oatmeal cups, and assorted breads, bagels, etc. It was adequate but we ate our breakfast out every morning. We did not opt for the hot served breakfast there so we cannot comment on it. Room was clean cool and comfy when we arrived. Bed was very comfortable. AC unit was able to keep it cool during the 80 degree plus weekend. There was a nice balcony porch off the room to sit outside overlooking the courtyard area. Courtyard area was nice, it had many chairs and tables around. We did not use the hot tub so we cannot comment on it. Our number one favorite part of this was the excellent location in downtown Gettysburg. We walked to 90%+ of the things we did all weekend. The only driving we did was to the visitors center, tour the battlefield, and the Beyond the Battle museum. Every other tour, restaurant, and shop we visited was a 10 min walk max. Enjoyed our stay, would stay again."
