Pennsylvania Dutch Country hotel rooms a the Independent

"Very nice hotel, beautiful atrium, nice pool area and gym. The breakfast buffet had a nice variety for a great price. The room with three queen bed was perfect for our needs."

"There was long hair on the sheets, and a big gob of it in the bathroom on the floor. One sheet was ripped. The sink was cracked. The landscaping light outside shone directly on the window and brightened the room all night. I couldn't wait to leave. Parking was fine. Desk staff were fine."

"The breakfast was very good and the breakfast staff were cheerful and friendly keeping the items topped up. The breakfast seating area is too small for the size of the hotel and the condition of the seating is very poorly maintained and in desperate need for replacement. The electric window blinds fail to operate if not fully charged. The TV screen was blue (maintenance staff said the TV needs replacing a common fault). The two business centre printers did not work. The hotel displays signage to say "We want you to be 100% satisfied with your stay! If we have not met your expectations, please let us know why!" These were words not supported by action. "

"I stayed two nights. No issues with noise. Very quiet. I liked that I could go to the lobby and make a fresh cup of coffee anytime. Breakfast was ok but a hard boiled egg would have been nice. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Only complaint was a cockroach in the tub. Must have come through the pipes. Never saw another one so don't think it was overrun with them."
