"Bahiacafe is ideally located at the entrance to the historic sector of Salvador, and at affordable taxi rides from beaches etc. Warm and friendly staff assist with organising excursions. Interesting breakfast buffet but no other in house dining, ( but why bother with so many alternatives within walking distance?). The Caipirinha cocktails in the evening were great. Overall, a nice alternative-but-modern vibe at reasonable prices. "

"The place is good for the price. It felt clean, and the shower and toilet worked fine. The beds were quite hard and duvet only a blanket, but all in good condition. Although it’s only a 4 minute walk from Pelourinho, we were told by locals and police that we had to take Uber home as soon as it got dark! In other words, the area is not safe at night. "

"It is located right at the historic centre. The owner upgrades my room with good sunset view of the sea. The posada does not have lift but the owner was kind enough to help bringing my luggage up to 3/F. English is not spoken. Breakfast has little choices but enough to fill my stomach."

"Exceptional and kind owner and staff. They were good listeners, informative about area and safety, engaging, and caring. Americans and Europeans should learn more about cultural and living standards before going so as not to be shocked by room layouts and bathroom designs and bed placement as well as lack of face cloths.
