"I love that it’s dog friendly. The grounds of the property could use some work. But the room was clean and comfortable. My friend who shared the room with me commented that the pillows were too thin for him, but I didn’t have an issue; I guess it depends on personal preference."

"Panorama is in a very quiet, idyllic spot in the Dandenong Ranges. Our welcome was very pleasant and easy. We were shown our room, which turned out to have a faulty shower, with an alternative given immediately. The manager was very engaging and took us on a tour of the property, which has the primary function as a conference centre. The large central dining/lounge is comfortable and relaxing. The rooms are small, but clean. The bathrooms are quite small, but adequate for a short stay. The owners have only had the property for a few months, but are making significant improvements. This is a fantastic place to get away and relax if you want a total break. There are no shops within about five kilometres, but drinks are available at the motel. We were very surprised to return after a day out to find fresh towels and the bed made, something we did not expect on a daily basis, particularly for the reasonable price we were charged. Not too far from the burbs, but felt like a total bush experience, even to the deer passing through the bottom of the garden."

"I had a lovely stay at Chateau Yering Hotel. A warm welcome from Annie at Reception, a spotless and lovely room, very friendly and helpful house-keeping staff, and Jennifer in the Sweetwater Cafe makes an excellent coffee. I think Eleonore's Restaurant is at present only open for dinner on Wednesday evenings but plenty of restaurants not far away in Lilydale, and Yarra Glen township is only about 5 minutes from Chateau Yering. For lunch there is the Yering Station restaurant right next door to Chateau Yering. Highly recommended."

"Idyllic location at the former home of Swinburne University, Mooroolbark Campus. Tremendous value for money. If you need a peaceful escape this could be it, and Expedia make it so easy."
