"Nice stay overall at The Tavern Hotel. Clean property, welcoming front desk, and the room was comfortable. The shower was beautiful, though the shower head had some hard water buildup. A few small things didn’t match the price—loose toilet seat (a bit uncomfortable), and the mini fridge made random squeaking noises at night. Parking was easy and felt safe, and the breakfast voucher across the street was a nice perk. I would stay here again, but would look for a better rate."

"This was an appalling experience. The property looked like no maintenance had been done in decades. I entered our assigned room which was filthy. The shower was disgusting and there was food in the refrigerator that had not been removed after a previous guest. I turned the door handle to exit and the whole loch assembly disintegrated in my hand. I told the clerk in the lobby they I could not stay in such conditions.I was given a refund. This property should not be offered on the Hotels.com website. Worst hotel experience ever."

"Clean but for the price a fairly low budget feel. No elevator was a negative but not a deal breaker, not cool if you have lot of luggage or kids with bags. Kinda felt like a polished Motel 6."

"Our stay was disappointing because the cleanliness was not up to standard. There was old dust built up in all the corners, which made the room feel neglected and poorly maintained. The first room we were given also had a mattress that was badly sunken in the middle, almost like there was a hole, making it very uncomfortable to sleep on. We had to go back and request a room change because of it. While the staff did switch our room, the overall experience was frustrating and not what we expected from a hotel stay."
