Second time we have stayed here and it didn’t disappoint. It is a beautiful old restored home, the rooms are very comfortable and a good size. Breakfast is made to order from their menu, lovely. Also the staff are so lovely!!

Amazing hotel, delicious food both breakfast and dinner and so friendly staff! :) We got tasty local sweets as welcome gift <3 Parking is available (in front of the hotel or on guarded parking area close by). Very clean and everything works well. Historic building, yet modern and neat interior - perfect combo. We were so pleased, we decided to extend our stay. This is a gem!

The Bold Type Hotel is a sympathetically renovated & converted old family house. The staff were very friendly & helpful. It had reserved on street parking spaces outside & a lovely garden. It is conveniently located in the Old Town area of Patras a city in Greece which is not yet a tourist destination. However it was a good base for day trips to Delphi & Olympia.

A beautiful property opposite an amazing archeological site and walking distance to the Central shopping area. The staff were very attentive and the restaurant had good recommendations for their excellent food. Breakfast was also spectacular. Parking is reserved outside the hotel for guests. In a hectic city like Patras we loved staying in this sanctuary.

Great place

A first class hotel with a beautiful room, staff was VERY accommodating and helpful, wonderful patio and garden. As of May 2024 there was construction on the street in front so parking and unloading was difficult, but the staff was very helpful and we would NOT let this stop you from staying here... just be aware.

Small boutique hotel. Rooms and property itself of a very high standard. Comfortable bed. High quality bedding and linen. Mini fridge, nespresso coffee machine. Spacious bathroom with quality fittings. Exceptional service. Very professional and helpful staff. Has a small but impressive court yard with a swimming pool. Nice breakfast and good all day restaurant menu. Very discreet and quiet place. Really loved it. Wanted to extend but unfortunately there wasn't an availability.

The property is a unique boutique hotel converted from an old magnificent mansion located in the upper town of Patra, close to some very interesting Roman excavations and within easy walking distance anywhere in the center. The feel Is that of a classic old hotel. The rooms are spacious. The staff is excellent and were attentive. There is a wonderful restaurant bar area in the old courtyard behind the building which was quiet and provided a welcome respite in the evening and a wonderful breakfast in the Morning.

Definitely not a 5 star hotel. Staff very friendly. Breakfast fantastic. Only the taste of the food deserves 5 stars. The parking lot is on the street, very small and does not guarantee a place for all vehicles. Hygiene could be better. An example is that during the few days spent in this hotel, no one came out to the terrace to change the full ashtray, etc

Great Hotel

My stay at the town of Patras was to attend a family wedding. Out of the list of hotels in the area, The Bold Type Hotel seemed pretty good as it's website showed its amenities and offered a choice of vegan and vegetarian dishes. The hotel was actually better than I had expected it to be. It's a fairly new hotel, so the building looks nice and is in very good condition. My room was a decent size, very clean and beautifully decorated and furnished. The bathroom was also of great design and had a very high quality shower unit fitted. The food quality is excellent, and I was very tempted to have all my meals there! They have a lovely outside dining area with trees and a nice sized pool (pretty sure you shouldn't swim in it!). Their menus cater for all tastes The Breakfast menu includes a Vegan Power Bowl and is a great healthy start to the day. Their lunch menu offers a great Beyond Meat Vegan Burger meal. The Dinner Menu has a dish called Tornero and is another good vegetarian dish to choose. The concierge and all the staff there are very polite and helped me on various occasions, like setting the air conditioning at the right temperature and providing me with an iron the press my cloths on a Sunday when their laundry service was closed. Overall, for the price, this is one of the best hotels that I have stayed. Not sure when and if I will return to Patras, but if I do, I'll be staying at The Bold Type.
