"What a gem of a hotel. The staff is incredible - so nice and helpful. The room was spotlessly clean - the bathroom terrific with amenities and a great shower. The bed was comfortable, a/c worked great and I got a great night's sleep. But the best was the breakfast. Of all the hotels we stayed in France, this was the BEST croissant we've ever had. The offerings were extensive - meat, cheese, scrambled eggs were extra delicious and the breads incredible. Coffee was amazing as was the fresh squeezed orange juice that you did yourself. Location is great - next to the train station and a 20 min. walk into the town center through a very nice park. Parking was great - lots of room and it was complimentary which wasn't the case in our other hotels. I loved loved this hotel - the staff made it extra special. Highly recommend and would stay there again!"
"Booked last minute. Perfect for a weekend stopover whilst travelling. Pool added bonus. Breakfast service to order and collect fresh pastries is ideal. External lights outside room not working so was a bit dark but thought this might be to reduce bugs.
Suggestion for couple or chairs or bench nr table tennis table.
Beds comfortable apartment had everything needed, some furnishings looked a bit well used. Balcony a perfect treat to sit on, was very hot when we visited a large fan was provided which worked well until we had to close doors at bedtime, a second fan for the bed room may have been of help but still with such hot weather it was just moving hot air about. Perfect location for walking into the village where there are plenty of places to eat just be mindful if you go on Sunday as less options as lots where closed for food."
"Location, size of room and breakfast were lovely! However it was let down by inconsistent staffing of reception! On arrival in the evening despite knocking on several, what seemed like office doors and ringing reception we still had an appalling wait for a member of staff! He seemed to also appear from one of the doors we’d knocked on so had ignored our knock. When he did arrive (short male with short dark hair) he was miserable, unwelcoming and didn’t tell us any of the usual information such as breakfast times and location or pool opening times. The pool area also had a disgusting looking area of water that was there before you had a chance to avoid it and couldn’t avoid it if you wanted to access the pool! Looking dirty and not nice at all!"
"I booked last minute. Room was clean; top floor; view of canal; very tiny. The staff on the first day were polite and accommodating. However, I have insomnia and missed breakfast daily. The first day I requested a coffee and croissants in the patio about midday. Staff were polite and accommodating; did not even ask my room number. On the third day, I tried to request a coffee and a glass of water at 13:00. A tall & thin woman would not acknowledge me at all. So I asked a tall and bearded man who had avoided eye contact or a greeting all three days. He told me in French that there is no service in the patio and the restaurant is closed, which I understood perfectly well. However, he had to be condescending and repeated what he said in English, since “I did not understand him!” His arrogance was abundantly clear. He said he’d bring an espresso; I repeated my request for a black coffee; “an Americano,” he asked condescendingly. I again explained: a cup of black strong coffee! The tall thin woman brought the coffee; I repeated my request for a GLASS of water. She brought a tall bottle instead, without the cap, and asked my room number. I replied in French because I was very annoyed at this point. As well, I had asked the head housekeeper earlier for a bottle of water in my room; she rudely said I had to get it from room service myself!! I’m a seasoned traveler, respectful, a well-dressed/groomed woman who knows three languages fairly well, and two fluently. I will not return."
