"Great decor! Brand new wing is lovely but note is separate to the main hotel. Excellent breakfast. Very honest staff.
The hotel tours team v high std and good value for Dhow and snorklong trips. Spa appraently good but disaapintingly hard to book. "
"Low rise buildings (mostly ‘bungalows’) set in colourful, well tended gardens within the owners grounds, with direct and wide access to a beautiful beach. The owners treat visitors almost as their personal guests (in a non invasive friendly way) The manager Margaret speaks good English and could not be more helpful or friendly. The staff team too are friendly and efficient. Flame tree cottages has a well kept swimming pool and beach bar serving a good variety of drinks and food, not as ‘exciting’ as some other local restaurants but with good portions. There are kayaks on offer and Flame tree have their own dhow boat offering reasonably priced & sometimes private excursions (guests can just say where they want to go, or ask for recommendations).
Breakfasts are plentiful & special diets are catered for, served on the terraces outside each bungalow.
Flame tree cottages is in a convenient location within easy walking distance of shops, restaurants, cafes, a turtle sanctuary, local housing etc. It’s an oasis of calm within quite a busy & interesting community with the added advantage of being directly on a beach with glorious sunsets. "
"Wonderful hotel, nice stuff very good food. There is no alcohol served in the property you still can get it in a nearby beach bar. The beachfront villas are wonderful, We didn't like the constant hassling of vendors that came by the border of the property, but the hotel security guard was always there. Every afternoon the. beachfront was full of local youngsters playing soccer, what blocked your access to the beach. Overall highly recommend it, great place to rest and observe the local village life in the meantime."
