"I stayed at Baymont by Wyndham in Elizabeth City, N.C over Memorial Day weekend because it was listed on Expedia I honestly regret it. Since it was a holiday weekend, most other hotels in the area were fully booked, so I didn’t have many options. The room was absolutely disgusting. The couch had blood stains and white stains on it, the dresser was missing knobs, and there was black mold around the toilet and bathtub. Both air-conditioning units were cracked, and although it looked like they attempted some cosmetic repairs, everything was done very poorly. The carpet was also dirty and looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in a long time. To be completely honest, the condition of the property made it feel more like emergency housing than a hotel. I would strongly recommend staying somewhere else if you’re visiting Elizabeth City,N.C."

"We had a 3 night stay and I could not be more pleased. It’s always scary trying somewhere new when reviews are mixed and you are traveling with kids but everything was great! From check in to check out the employees were friendly and helpful. The room was spotless. Is this an older motel? Yes! But is it taken care of, clean, quiet and safe. Also yes! And bonus there is an amazing taco truck right down the street! We will be back!"

"We had to get up early to make the ferry the next day. The rooms were not very sound protected, at 2:30am several other rooms were really loud and it went on until almost 4:00am. I called the front desk twice during that time. I would recommend a policy for those that disturb quiet time, be asked to leave at that time. The front desk lady in the morning was very apologetic and actually refunded our money. But that didn’t make up for our lacking sleep while traveling."
