"This is a very special hotel. The check in and reception area is so inviting and lovely! Absolutely loved room 13, very clean and spacious and we especially liked the multi use table right in the middle for organizing and ease of movement, as well as 2 additional single beds/sofas! The property has a very calm and peaceful vibe within a fresh and lush surroundings. My dogs had a lot of space to sniff and wander around, we felt very safe walking around the property. The property was very well maintained (Martin, the co-owner even treats the grass for ticks!). The best part - the staff. Just exceptional; we met both the owners and their managers, all of whom took the time to talk to us, especially Serena, one of the managers who instantly felt like my best friend after chatting for 5 minutes!! They very kindly offered to light the fire for us multiple times, and we had use of the separate tv den, (but didn’t have time to check it out this trip.) There was supposed to be no breakfast on weekdays, but a few to die for cinnamon sugar donuts magically appeared by the cute coffee/tea bar area in the check in/out (made by a local baker) And on the day we checked out, Martin packed a brown bag of fruit; bananas, muesli and granola bars AND the last donut they had we liked so much the day before. It’s these kind considerations that elevates a regular hotel stay to an exceptional feel good experience that we’ll always remember. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! 10/5 stars!!!"

"The desk is not usually staffed and the hotel seems nearly empty. For $200, my room had no closet, nowhere to hang clothes. There was a hook on the back of the bathroom door, but it had a dirty towel on it. Need I say more?"

"Every staff was so friendly and helpful. One night when we were there, we encountered a rare black fox eating our left over at night. A staff came immediately and told us about the back story of this particular animal. Not only that but this staff helpful educated us about it and even direct us to a beautiful view of the night stars and Venus. Staffs at the club house were all so friendly and helpful and just a great pleasure to even have a small chat with them. Great stay. Amazing staffs. Just love it. Highly recommended. "

"Nice continental breakfast served in the Del Mater Inn down the street. We stayed at the Beekman arms and it was very nice. Nice little carafe of Sherry for the end of the day. No elevator must carry your suitcase up the stairs. Nothing fancy, but very quaint."

"The veneer on doors and paint on walls was chipped. Overall it is a shabby property. I expected more from Wymdam. Coffee was fine and a granola bar got us on the road to friends' house. Will think carefully before staying in another Wymdam property."
