"We had an excellent stay! Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Room was very clean and had everything we needed. They helped us to arrange safari, food and transport as well. The safari was amazing and our driver was the best! Food was also amazing. "

"Hi, the property was nice, but in the middle of the rice fields. They did not serve dinner, so you have to take a tuktuk to town. The room itself was large and beautiful, but the AC did not work and there was no fridge in the room."

"Cabanas located in trees - you are literally sleeping outside. Different experience, but nice. Be aware that animals may enter, and the river is very close by, so maybe not so good for people who needs complete silence to sleep. Staff very helpful and nice!"

"My room has lovely high ceilings and a fresh, clean interior. The is a lovely view of the rice paddies. The staff are so lovely and helpful. The safari they organised was exceptional value. Most importantly thier home-cooking is excellent. "

"Great stay and great service. The hotel was overbooked, so our host went out of his way to find us a nicer room nearby. Also did the safari through the hotel - couldn't of asked for more!"

"It was extremely difficult to check out. They do not have the facilities for customers to use a credit card. The girl at the front desk is nice but she is over worked; she cooks, cleans, wait tables and acts as thr receptionist too. The room was not ready at 3:30. The owner does not have much understanding about working with Expedia.com. He spoke to me rudely on phone and I do not think he and his staff are properly trained in hotel buisness. It was a mess at the checkout time and they insisted...

"First of all, when I went to 'Palugaha pilgrim resort' it was locked. Even the mobile was not reachable. I had booked this thro' Expedia. Fortunately the auto rickshaw driver was knowledgeable about the place so took us to a nearby place. This did not have any name but there was someone to entertain us. He claimed that was the Palugaha resort & also said there was no intimation from Expedia reg my booking. However, he was kind enough to arrange the room for us. After that, everything was fine....

"Guy who worked here did not speak english at all. And we didnt get our room when we arrived because the owner said there was some payment problems even tho we showed the booking refrence."

"We verbleven er met 3 kinderen in een kamer op de bovenverdieping met prachtig uitzicht, voor de laatste nacht kregen we een upgrade naar de nieuwe chalets naast het mooie zwembad. Dit hotel blinkt uit in service, de beste van onze reis door Sri Lanka. De bediening was erg vriendelijk voor ons en de kinderen en maakten ons verblijf fantastisch! "We absolutely loved our stay here. From dining under the stars by candlelight in the national park to waking up in the heart of the bush in our gorgeous accommodation- it was magical. Breakfast in the treetops was an unforgettable experience, and the entire setting felt like something out of a dream. The staff were attentive to our every need, and a special mention goes to Robbie, who was simply amazing throughout our stay. This place is an absolute must when visiting Yala. We can’t wait to return!"

"Outstanding hotel! Loved everything about it. We were visiting for 1 night to do the safari (which was also fab) but wished we stayed another night just to chillax!! Was nicely surprised that their dining prices were no more expensive (in fact cheaper in some cases) than other equivalent properties in Sri Lanka given the remoteness & no other options! Food & staff were great. Lovely pool. Highly recommend."

"Stayed at this hotel for one night. Went to another hotel in Yala. Was not pleased with what I saw. My family and I turned around and went back to stay here for another night. Very clean hotel, very polite staff who go above and beyond to ensure you have a relaxing and comfortable stay. Highly recommend staying here if you are ever in Weerawila. Keep up the great work!!! :) "

"This is an amazing hotel, everything is very special. Rooms are clean and spacious and with lovely views and lots of natural light. The facilities such as the pool and the spa are fantastic. The restaurant really yummy and lovely atmosphere. The staff members are extraordinary. Our son doesn’t want to go anywhere else 😂. He keeps saying, nothing is like the HiltonYala ❤️"

"Our stay at Cinnamon Wild Yala was absolutely wonderful! The resort itself is incredibly luxurious, with beautiful surroundings that make you feel completely relaxed. We loved the little wildlife moments—monkeys and chipmunks even wandered right outside our room, which made the experience feel very special. The food was buffet style with a huge variety of choices, and every meal was delicious. From breakfast to dinner, there was something for everyone, and the quality was consistently impressive. What really stood out, though, was the staff. Every single person we encountered was friendly, welcoming, and went out of their way to be helpful. They made us feel comfortable and ensured our stay was seamless from start to finish."
