"The room was fine- the quality of the sheets were not great- but they were clean. Breakfast options are limited- no protein options. There was cold cereal, yogurt, muffins, bagels, oatmeal, and some fresh fruit. There was juice and coffee to drink. Food was good, just very limited options. Pool was pleasant- clean and lounge chairs were decent."

"The front desk staff were very helpful in giving directions to restaurants and a nice walk along the beach. The food for breakfast was fresh, had a nice variety, and was attractively served. I was accommodated for an allergy free room. The room was spacious and even though the train ran close-by I did not hear it. I plan to return the next time I am in Ventura."

"I stayed two nights in March 2026 and had a very poor experience. On the first night a neighboring room’s air conditioner made loud bursting noises, so around midnight I asked the front desk for another room and moved to a far-end room. That room had towels on the bathroom floor and trash in the bin, though the bed looked clean. I fetched fresh towels from the lobby, then discovered there was no toilet paper; I managed with tissues. The next morning I reported the issues and requested toilet paper; staff brought one roll and said they’d send housekeeping. Later that evening the room had not been cleaned. I found a live cockroach on the floor, trapped it under a cup, and left it there. At checkout I reported the uncleaned room and the cockroach; the front-desk staff apologized verbally but offered no remedy or compensation. I have photos of the cockroach."

"The front desk staff were polite even when our room was not ready, although it was about 15 minutes past check-in time. They got the room ready close to 5pm. We booked a suite, which was spacious- 2 rooms essentially, one had the 2 queen beds, and the other had a coffee table, sofa, lounge chairs, and desk with space to do work if needed. The shower and toilet were pretty standard. The breakfast was standard as well- nothing special: eggs, turkey sausage, oatmeal/cereal, pastries/bread, coffee. The garden with pond with ducks, turtles, and fish was a highlight with the kids. Overall was fine for our 3-day stay"
