"Great villa in a remote location. We had the place to ourselves and the villa manager Raid was very attentive, had lots of information for us and nothing was too much trouble. Would recommend hiring a car due to location. Breakfast included and there’s an all day menu. We ate at the neighbouring The Datai hotel which Raid arranged for us and he also took us there and collected us. "

"If you like closeness to nature, this the place for you. Squirrels, birds and monkeys visited our balcony during our stay. The glass walled villa offers amazing view of the forest in all four directions but if you prefer privacy, draw the curtains, which we didn't have to use. Given the location, expect some ants, mostly in the bathtub but they don't bite or bother us. The adorable resident dogs do bark intermittently at night so bring ear plugs if necessary. "Fantastic room. Staff were very efficient and friendly. The Pan Thai restaurant is a must go. The food and setting are both amazing. The one criticism would be the eco policies. Can’t remember seeing any solar panels. Water was in plastic bottles. A lot of resorts provide refill stations. Most guests carry water bottles nowadays. If they don’t you could sell a resort branded one at a fair price. And why once the pools are closed do you still waste energy aerating them and lighting all of them. Love the wildlife in the resort. Recommend the nature walk early on so you are aware of where to look for the local animals. But a great resort and I would like to think will be back ."
