Hotel Fruela is in a great location, providing a good base for exploring the locality. Oviedo has an abundance of history and is covered by Michael Portillo on his Tours Round Spain on Channel 5, British TV. Worth a look if your thinking of going to this area (Asturias) of Spain. We booked through Expedia, who got us in on the dates we wanted at a very good price. Nothing to criticise, just compliment a very good basic hotel, good beds, showers and clean.

We had a lovely stay here. Room was modern and very clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. The location couldn’t be better to walk to all the sights. The train station is only a 10 minute walk away. Breakfast was delicious, too. I would definitely stay here again.

Very well located near the older part of Oviedo, walkable to all major tourist attractions. You need to check in across the street at their other hotel but this is not an issue as it is only a few meters away from the entrance. The beef was too firm for my liking but this is a personal preference.

This hotel was the best choice we took to stay in Oviedo. Half a block from the central park and all things around. Worthy for the price even despite its location on the center of the city. The staff was marvelous, very friendly, starting with the reception people, giving you the sensation that you are at home. We want to mention specially Mauricio for his attention and excellent service during the breakfasts. He tried to do all for you, and was pending on what you need all the time. Thanks Mauricio! The hotel condition is like new, also the rooms and bathroom, Size is very appropriate for a couple. This was our best hotel for our trip. Regards. Eduardo Cruz
